I personally made a withdraw of $2800.00. This withdraw was made on May 24, 2024 at around 10:00 AM through 10:15 AM. On May 30, 2024 I received a phone call from the bank. It was the teller who handled the transaction. She attempted to explain that she made an error and that she made the transaction for $2000.00 more than intended. She stated that I received this money as well. She also claimed to have video footage of the transaction/incident. I told them that I needed to see the footage they claim says the alleged incident happens. I was asked to come to the bank by one of the branch managers. They showed me footage of the incident. The footage is unclear to me. You cannot see the money that she is counting out. I could see the tellers hand, but not the funds. The bank also only had one angle of footage from the incident in question. On this date; the branch manager tried to get me to verbally agree that this incident did in fact happen, and that I would pay the funds back to them. The manager said that, " we could work something out". I declined. On May 24, 2024, after receiving $2800.00 in cash from the bank, I went to **********, ******** to purchase a vehicle for cash. I paid $2700.00 in cash for the vehicle. The sellers name is *********************. ***** is located at **************************************************************************. On June 5, 2024 in the beginning of business hours there was a bank hold put on my funds in the account I hold with the bank. The amount is for $583.19. I did not agree for the bank withhold any funds other than funds that were to be put into a savings account. The hold is an attempt to get me to pay money back I did not receive. The practice in which the are using seems to be unethical and should be looked into with care and concern. If the teller hands to much money out in a transaction that is human error and fault, not a consumer/client issue.
