I got a title loan from this company on 12-5-23. The company loaned me initially what was said to be $1000 but in order to get the loan I had to allow them to keep $300 out of the $1000 therefore only providing me with $700 to leave the business with. However after reviewing the contract after I left the business, I noticed it states i was given $1000. In fact i was not given $1000 and the contract does not state where the other $300 went. The worker ****** gave me cash out of her pocket claiming that it was legal to do so. On 3-23-24 the business Mid American title loan hired a repossession company to pick up my car. When the repot company showed up at my residence I clearly stated my desire for them to leave and even called the police because the man driving the tow truck harmed my wife as well as caused damage to my vehicle when he attempted to lift my car with my wife sitting on the car knocking her off to the ground as well as did not have his tow truck equipment connected properly when he lifted my car doing damage to my engine and ripping off parts of the undercarriage protecting my engine. Even after the police showed up, the repot man did not leave and even stayed for about 4 hours with me sitting in my vehicle. He attempted to coerce the police into forcing me to get out of my vehicle which was successful at first due to the threat of me being arrested if i did not get out of my car. I asserted my right to be left alone and that this was a breach of the peace and that law enforcement should never get involved with helping a repot agent repot a vehicle. Clearly a breach of the peace occurred and this is wrong. Also the repot man, after the police left, stated to me that he had a gun in his tow truck i believe in an effort to scare me out of my car. I have video of most of this breach of peace occurring.

Thank you for notifying the ******* of Mr. ***** complaint.  We appreciate this opportunity to respond.

An investigation of ************** grievance proves the ******* committed no wrongdoing and that he made statements that are simply untrue. First, on December 5, 2023, ************ most certainly received $1,000.00.  In addition to executing his loan agreement, enclosed, please find the Cash Receipt form that ************ signed confirming that he received $1,000.00 on that day.  Next, the employee did not give ************ cash out of her pocket.  The employee properly gave ************ the loan proceeds from the *******s register.

A review of Mr.***** account reveals that he never submitted a payment and stopped communicating with the *******. Therefore, on March 23, 2024, the ******* contracted with a towing ******* to have the vehicle repossessed. The ******* only uses reputable towing companies, conducts ongoing monitoring of its vendor relationships and takes all complaints seriously.  With that said, the ******* reached out to the towing ******* that attempted retrieved Mr. ***** vehicle.  According to the owner of the towing *******,after the vehicle was hooked up to the truck, ************ and his girlfriend ran out of their home, jumped onto the tow truck, began kicking the tow truck and threatening bodily harm to the driver. With that said, the driver could not release the vehicle because *********** would not remove himself from the trucks lift.  Immediately, the driver called the police.  ********** instructed ************ and his girlfriend to remove themselves from the tow truck.  Accordingly, the tow truck driver then unhooked Mr. ***** vehicle and left the premises.  Despite Mr. ***** contentions, no damage was done to the vehicle, ************, or his girlfriend.  Clearly, the ******* is confronted with two very different stories and has no reason not to believe the towing *******.

In closing, the ******* operates in strict compliance with state and federal laws and has committed no wrongdoing.  Recently, the ******* received notice that ************ has filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy.  Accordingly, the ******* has ceased all collection efforts in light of the automatic stay.  However, should ************ have any questions or concerns he can contact the *******s Assistant General *******, ******* at ************.

Thank you again for your assistance in this matter and the opportunity to respond.
