I hired ****** to do two bathrooms and a kitchen,he gave us a price and we agreed to it,but before he did the job,he said he needed to come by and take another look to make sure he didn't miss anything and then he told us that he miss quoted the job and that he would need to charge a higher price. He went on how he was going to have to move the door for the basement bathroom to get the bathroom more space to work with and that he had to hire plumbers to redo the stack for the upstairs bathroom and for the basement bathroom and that the plumbers would be $10,000.Well,I received the invoice for the plumbers, and they only charged $4,100,and even though he never moved the bathroom door,he still charged for those services. On the upstairs bathroom he said he needed to tear up the bathroom floor to get the drainpipe for the tub,so he could replace it,but he never had to tear up the floor to get to the drainpipe, but he still charged us for that work even though he didn't do it.When he gave us a price for the kitchen he included cabinets and countertops and gave us a cost for that, but I ended up getting the invoice for the cabinets and they were $800 less than what he had said,he charged us for countertops, but we ended up paying for the countertops ourselves, but he still charged us for the countertops,He really played my wife on that because when he asked for a check,he didn't tell her it was for the countertops,he just said it was in the contract that we needed to make a payment for work done so far. He also was to do a tile backsplash in the kitchen, but when he was putting the cabinets up,he told my wife that he didn't calculate the backsplash into his cost,so he was going to have to charge us more to get it done,we told him it was in the contract that he was supposed to do the backsplash,he said it was a mistake. All in all he did not do all the work he said he would, but still charged us.I've asked for invoices for hours worked and material costs and he told me no.
