I am rejecting this response because:

The issue is that when I brought in the car, I had no electrical issues.

You had the car in your possession approximately 3 weeks with no work being done.  I took the car back from you since it was an unreasonable amount of time for it to be sitting there with no work being done.

The day I picked it up I noticed the speedometer and tachometer were not working.  I immediately returned and told you of the issue.

You offered to look at it, but why would I have you look at it when you hadn’t done anything about my original issue?

Not only did the speedometer and tachometer not work, but other things as well  -

Not working when I picked the car up from you:

    Speedometer/odometer

    Tachometer

    Door locks

    Radio

    Horn

    Dome light

I took my car to a trusted vehicle electrician who has had the car in the past.  Quoting him: “somebody messed with this” –

    Fuse removed

    Wires moved

As you mentioned, the work requested had nothing to do with electrical, so why was a fuse removed and wires moved?

Again, everything worked when I brought it to you.  How in those 3 weeks does a fuse disappear and wires be moved when it was in your possession?  How do you explain that?

    This is a problem.

I don’t expect this to be made right by you.

    My complaint stands

    Sincerely,

    **** *******

He had a appointment, he was a no call no show on the day of the appt.  The vehicle actually showed up two or three days later and he dropped the car off.  This vehicle is a 1987 Pontiac fire bird.  We never seen the vehicle before.  Someone retro fitted a newer style in the car.  This is not the original engine for the car.  They put all new front suspension on the car.  We got the car in our shop as quickly as possible.  Suspension noise was able to be duplicate the noise right here on the premises.  We found that the car did not have any spring isolators.  We contacted the customer about what we found.  We emailed the customer back and forth.  So at that time the service rider researched to see if we could no anything with the noise.  Customer decided not to do anything with the car.  The customer was charged a standard check out charge of $69.00.  When he came back he stated that the speedometer was not working.  We only looked at his front suspension.  We did not even drive the vehicle.  Customer was told that he could leave the car and we could look at the speedometer.  Customer chose not to do that.   The customer is welcome to come back and talk with me if he would like.

This customer made an appointment to look at a noise, he missed his appointment, didn't show up and no call.  He then brought the vehicle in and dropped it off.  The vehicle sat here a few days.  It has had an engine, a transmission, etc. put in the car, not here, installed by someone else.  We spent 4 hours finding the noise and getting a hold of the customer and we had to get information about the parts added to the car.  It is an older vehicle that someone has done all of these things to.  It was a week or so corresponding with the owner.  He chose to pick the vehicle up because there was nothing we could do.  We never drove the car, didn't do anything to his electrical system.  Our service rider said he could bring the car back and we would look at it.  He states he took it to a trusted mechanic.  I would be happy to look at the car and address the concerns of his car.  I stated I would give his money back-$67.00.  He never called and complained.  No one did anything to his car, we didn't even drive it.  I was never given the opportunity to look at his car and I said I would give his money back.
