    The original proposal was 9 December 2021. On December 8 2021 $4,000 was paid. On Febuary another $4000 was paid.This was for roof repair, soffit, install gutters, a 68 south side porch, and a 910 rear deck, a rear combination door and 2 interior doors. The gutters, combination door and interior doors were not done because *********************** did not respond in a timely matter to accomplish the work. As far as a refund he claimed that we were even. Because of the way the proposal was written this is hard to dispute. My main issue is that the front porch and rear deck was shoddy workmanship and materials. The wood is warping and the stringers are splitting where the steps are attached to. I have contacted Mr. *********************** on numerous occasions inwhich he has stated that he will fix the issues with the front porch and rear deck. He never shows up to do the repairs. I called Mr. *********************** on 6/9/22, 9/26/22, 5/11/23. These are only the call that I kept tack of. I sent emails with pictures on 3/20/22 and 5/11/22. Each time he stated that he will be out to make repairs.

    Prior to the repair, I informed him that the pressure treated lumber would split over time, maybe even immediately. I will reach out to the consumer, to make an attempt to do the repairs.

    Bid was for 24,750. to replace windows, siding, doors, deck. I told **** there was water damage at windows. Made 1st pmt. 5/12/22, work started in July, siding removed and there was water damage. **** said it would cost more. So in the end we paid him $37250. My husband is 79 an disabled from a stroke, I am 76, and we don't know if the rotten wood should be that much more but we paid it. We saved for years to get this work done and believed **** ******* when he said he had year of experience repairing mobile homes. There was 3 window sashes he had to replace, I went ahead made final payment, 9/15/22. 2 weeks after, the front door was not fitting well, siding started falling off. I notified **** and he said because of wind we had, I did not believe that, our old siding never fell off, he finally sent his former daughter in law (his helper during this job) the siding continued to fall. He finally showed up, got siding back up, not the best looking job. He sent his son to replace the window sashes. I showed him the problems with the front door. He agreed it needed insulation and filler under door and would come back to do the repairs. That was April 2023, have not heard anymore from either of them. I text ****, he won't answer by text, always telephones, he said he would not deal with me anymore, he lost money on this job, that his workers made more that he did. I heard that complaint just about every day he worked. The work he has done has a lot of flaws, I think he was upset about the money he was making and just did a sloppy job. I have a list of things he should fix but I am tired of dealing with him and listening to how little we paid. All we want is the front door to be sealed and close properly. It is very cold in winter. And its not the storm door that is the problem, he just didn't seal and insulate the frame and seal where the lock is and seal at the and bottom inside and outside.

    I took the old siding off everything because of the gutter. The water was inside behind the siding, it rotted out the sheets inside of the home.  I replaced 20 sheets of OSB and there was a charge for that.  I gave her the bid and they accepted it.  When I first bided this I informed her they do not make four inch piece with a J channel built into it.  I told her I will do what you want me to do but it not the proper way to do on a mobile home.  Back to the siding.  I installed the windows I put up the new siding beautiful job.  She was expressed how much she liked it.  She hired me for additional work.  I went to the other side of the mobile home and I replaced 6 sheets of OSB.  I gave her the bid and she stated that she could not afford it.  So, it was on me.  I put up tye vic and she stated that was not in the bid.  I had to put that up so, water would not come in.  So, she was taking a razor blade and she scratched one of the windows taking the stickers off.  She wanted two windows replaced.  I ordered the Fascia and it six weeks to get them.  She would call me back to fix a piece of siding.  She has thrown siding at me and she has cussed me out.  I did a lot of extra work that I did not charge her for.  I did a lot of work I was there for 2 1/2 months this job should have actually cost $50,000.00

    I am rejecting this response because:  I am sending the proposal he made and we accepted. It says exactly what he was to do. I told him that I was aware of water damage at door and window, he said it didn't feel soft but if needed he would repair. I did not list all the things about the job I don't like, my only concern was the front door, I want it repaired, insulated and sealed.  I will say, "he is lying". .there was no water damage inside the house and he didn't replace any walls,  I didn't scratch sticker with razor, I used goo gone, the windows had flaw inside glass, was not a scratch and he said he would replace, one window wouldn't stay up. And the new one won't either. I am an old woman and when pushed have been known to use salty language, never cussed HIM out. NEVER threw siding at him, overheard a few cuss words between his worker and her boyfriend, he never said anything about that, so I guess he wasn't that offended by cussing.  As far as what this job should have cost, he bid it and I ended up giving him a lot more. Also I furnished the skirting, he said that  cost 1500.,  ********** ***** gave me the skirting. He was supposed to haul away trash and he bagged it and used my trash service to get rid of it. The siding he removed was taken to his daughter in law and going to be used on her home. As far as the back porch, I furnished the screens he replaced, such a bad job I am now having to put lattice to cover it up. He KNOWS the front door is not correctly installed, and he told me he was not replacing the door. You notice he didn't address that in his response.  I now don't want him to repair the door himself, I want him to get a reliable contractor  that can do the job and pay them for it.

    She did throw siding and cursed me out and I have every picture from start to finish. I replaced 20 sheets on one side of her house and replaced all the insulation and cleaned the mold off the driveway.  I have been in business 40 years since 1983 and this is the first complaint I have ever.

    I had given her a bid and after I got done she went with Lowes.  I didn't take advantage of her. I did so much extra work that she didn't pay me for.  I have witnesses next door to her behavior towards me. 

    I got 2 inches off the siding and she was watching me and she bragged on the work we did and then she would fly off the handle.  She said she was worried about her husband. Her husband said it looked great. I was there 2 months and I did all of their windows and received many compliments from her family and neighbors.

    I have a dump trailer but she requested that I use her trash service. I didn't use her service and instead I sat the bags on the curb and paid the guy 20 dollars to take our trash.  I didn't use her trash cans at all and I never used her trash service. I went and had her screen put in because she ripped it and she asked me if I would help her, this was after she told the BBB I was no longer welcome in her home.  I told her she needs to have Lowes come out and fix the what they messed up with her door.  Again I have went above and beyond for this consumer and have been honest about all of my interactions with her and my attempts to fix her issues.  I have correspondence and anything else needed to confirm my position.

    I believe he took advantage of us because of our age and my husbands disability, and as I said before, he made the proposal, talked me into the siding, I originally wanted windows and doors front porch. Then he needed more money because of wood, and we paid, all I want is a properly sealed front entrance door.  I said the place looked better and liked it until siding started falling down, and never was happy with the door situation. I had appliances delivered from Lowes and he said " I thought you didn't have any more money",  it  wasn't any of his business but I financed them. When I questioned him on the front door, he said Lowes broke the door, he was here when the appliances were delivered,  have lowes fix it. He never mentioned about Lowes breaking the door at the time, why not? I'm talking about the door not being sealed, insulated, why doesn't he address that. He's right neighbors says house looks a lot better, I'm talking about my door. He did use my trash service and my trash can for his clean up.  Why is he coming up with all this other nonsense? I want to know why he is not addressing his reason for not fixing the door.

    12/08/2023 AB:  Consumer does not want business to make any repairs and would like the business pay for the repairs to the front door.  The front door is not set in right.  

    12/12/2023 AB: Called consumer and informed the consumer of the business's response.  Consumer expressed that the business is not telling the t**** and should pay for the door.  Consumer also expressed that she does not have the energy to pursue this any further after hearing the business's response.

    12/11/2023 AB: left a vm for business. 

    12/11/2023 AB:  I put a new door in on the patio and the front door.  If there is any problems with the door it because of the mobility of the mobile home.  I am not rebuilding everything if I am not going to get paid for it. She did complain about the front door and I did fix it time after time of going over there.  I am not paying someone else to go in there to mess with the front  door.
