    On September 11, 2021 after much research and phone conversations I sent a charge over the phone of $4,700 with my credit card (still have the emailed receipt) to ****** **** of Wide Open Throttle Race Engines ************. This was a down payment on a custom built VW ENGINE that he was going to build for me. Typically this type of work takes time, I already knew and per our conversations would take about a year to complete, waiting my turn in line acquiring all parts and so fourth. A couple of months after waiting I was diagnosed with cancer and talked to ****** about this. He offered to REFUND my down payment deposit at ANYTIME saying he would have NO problems selling/using the few acquired parts he already had for other customers engines. I said to hold off for now I was hopeful and wanted to see how my cancer treatments went and we BOTH agreed to wait. About 7 months later I again talked with ****** and told him things were going well for me and let him know to get started again with my engine build. At that point he said to me sounds great but it will take a couple months to get my engine back in the rotation. I understood and told him to let me know when he gets started. Again over 1 yr went by NO word from ******. I called and spoke to him again, He said he was waiting on the custom turbo setup from his supplier so he could finish my engine and it would be a while that the supplier was so backlogged with orders ****** had to wait his turn in line. Again understandable as the case with custom engines and I had no option but to wait longer, I agreed. Another 5 months go by with no word from ******. I tried calling him MANY times and he won't answer OR return any of my voice messages. I found his supplier phone number, talked to them and they said had NO such order from ******. I confronted ****** by text message about this he finally replied and suggested to get the items myself. 3 yrs went by now and he wont return my money or talk with me over the phone
