I attempted to finance a vehicle in December 2024. Jefferson Bank located at ***************************************************************************** is reporting a charge off debt account #*******-8979 in the amount of $5422. Also, an amount of $4406 has been sold to ***************************. I spoke to *************************** account #******* on March 9, 2025. I was told that they purchased the debt from Jefferson Bank. I sent two letters to Jefferson Bank requesting a 1099-C for the charge-off account. I have contacted Jefferson Bank by mail December 2024. Followed by a phone call in January 2025 after no information requested. I was told by the finance/collections department that they can in fact place both amounts on my credit report even if the vehicle was sold and charged off. I requested an explanation of the two amounts being reported by mail in writing. It has been over 90 days, and I still haven't received any documentation.
