The issue began in 2023 when a set of 9-foot-wide concrete steps leading to my front door were constructed without adhering to code requirements. For the past two years, I have consistently communicated concerns about the safety and quality of the installation. Despite numerous attemptsvia text messages dating from 2023 through 2025I have received little to no meaningful response from the business owner. These messages document my repeated efforts to address the uneven and hazardous condition of the steps, yet the seriousness of the issue has not been acknowledged or acted upon **************** August 2024, the company returned to repair the steps by applying a concrete overlay. However, the result was unacceptablethe steps now appear only halfway finished, and the repair process caused additional damage, including orange staining on the driveway concrete and damage to the siding of my home.Furthermore, the concrete pad poured at the back of the house developed significant cracks within just six months of moving in, further reflecting the poor quality of workmanship. Despite my patience and repeated outreach, it has become clear that I have been disregarded and taken advantage of by this business.I have extensive documentationincluding two years of text messages and photographsdemonstrating both the substandard construction and the company's lack of accountability. This situation not only diminishes my home's value but also creates a visible eyesore for any potential buyers. I am now formally requesting that Grit cover the cost of hiring a qualified, independent contractor to complete the job correctly. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to pursue legal action.

*********************** and ********************* from Grit Concrete Solutions, LLC were hired to remove and install a bathtub surround and shower door and overlay on the existing front porch face, steps, sidewalk, and driveway. The work is unsatisfactory, incomplete, and defective and was not completed according to standard practices or procedures. GCS contracted this work although they did not have a valid business license from the City of ********** They failed to make the repairs as a result of their mistakes and walked off the job. 1. The total work cost was $5858.46 ($5408.47 concrete work). On April 12, 2022, ****************** was paid $2929.23 (half down per the contract to start the work) and $2929.23 on April 29, 2022, for completion. On April 29, concerns about the driveway were immediately brought to his attention (discoloration and streaks), and he stated it needed to cure. However, this was not the case. Most importantly, other issues were not noticed on the driveway and steps until after they dried (we could not walk on them for several weeks). Once we could walk on the driveway and steps, we noticed splatter on the retainer wall, discoloration, lumps, 'craters, uneven spots, water spots, and streaks. 2.On the driveway, there are massive streaks and lumps, there are visible areas where the concrete was not adequately smoothed out, some of the cracks were not adequately filled/repaired before the concrete was poured, water stains are visible, and there are "craters," and uneven spots. There are visible signs of the splatter of concrete on the retainer wall, driveway, and storm door, and signs of sealing splatter on the front of the garage doors. 3.On the steps, there are various dark streaks and spots. Some of the old concrete is visible on many of the steps, and there are shiny spots on the steps. 4.The shower door does not close properly; we cannot take a shower. Please see attachment for details.

It is important to note that it will cost more than what I paid for the work for the steps and driveway to be restored to their original state. .... Remedies a. For GCS to make the repairs and overlay the concrete according to standard practice and in a timely manner. i. A detailed explanation in writing on how GCS will rectify the mistakes, the process, the material used, the turnaround time, and further actions if the process does not work. b. If GCS fails to make the repairs, we are requesting the following: i. A full refund of $5408.00 and $10,000 for a total of $15,408.00 1. It will cost between $8,000 and $10,000 to restore the steps and driveway to their original state. I have attached a quote, and it does not include the grinding that is going to be necessary. ii. The cost to replace and hire someone to install a new ****** Retractable Storm Door ($450.00 plus $150 for a total of $600.00) 1. The concrete cannot be removed without damaging the door, which is less than three years old. iii. The cost of labor and supplies to repaint the two garage doors (estimate 8 hours to complete the job at $65.00 an hour, $520.00 plus paint and material $250.00 for a total of $770.00) 1. The sealing cannot be removed without damaging the doors. iv. $75.00 to have someone properly align the shower door. v. We are seeking total reparation of $16,853
