    This company was clearing brush on my property without my permission. They damaged property and put me at risk. They left gates open on my property.

    Hentges Tree Service is contracted with a local utility company to control vegetation under utility lines.  Hentges Tree Service accessed ********************** property to enter the powerline right of way to perform clearing services. ****************** has refused future access to the utility right of way through his property and that demand will be honored until the utility company can reach an understanding with ******************.

    Work performed on September 28 and October 6, tree trimming and cable installation at a cost of $1170.00. The tree work was completed to our satisfaction. However, the crew did damage to our new drive. They did not cover the drive before unloading equipment which caused heavy track marks and also damaged the edge of the drive. We also noticed after the crew left that there was a large stain on the drive under where one of the trucks had been parked and idling. One of the crew did report to us the damage to the edge of the drive. He and his father came over personally to repair it. I spoke with *********************** about the stain and asked them to take care of it or we would like to be compensated for the damage. ****** did try cleaning the stain. They also sent over someone who had more knowledge of concrete work who spent the afternoon working on the stain with no luck. I had told ****** that either they needed to take care of the stain or we would expect compensation for the damage. We asked for a 10% discount on the service and a letter admitting fault. We have heard nothing back. I am taking payment in full to their office today as the charge is due and we do not want it to affect our credit rating. I am truly disappointed in their follow-up and management of the situation. We are stuck now with a large stain on a drive that isn't even six months old. I was hoping we would not have to go this way to find some resolution, but the exchanges have been going on for several weeks now, the bill is due, and I am doubtful we will hear from them directly. Whatever happens, we are stuck with the damage.
