They gave me someone else's ashes and when I called the *************** manager to inform of the mistake, she was unapologetic. And stated that I was at fault for not checking the name on the box. I was grieving as she handed me the box. She should have been more professional and double checked every thing before leaving the room where the Urns of our oved ones are kept before bringing him out to present to me to begin with. I should have never had this experience as a fresh widow. When I brought the incorrect ashes back, she (BOM) continued to be unapologetic about the situation which in turn makes me wonder if I actually have my husband's ashes in an urn with just his name on the box now. I spent over an hour grieving and crying over another man's ashes before realizing the mistake. This is unacceptable and should never have happened, let alone tolerated.

This was an honest mistake by our office manager whom has worked for Midland Cremation Society for many years. She was apologetic and sent ***** a personal apology. ***** did sign the release and did not notice the error either. Truly an honest mistake and we offered a sincere apology.

My experience with this crematory has been shady, they have done everything in their power to not correct my husband's death certificate. Because I have stage 4 lung cancer and when we took my husband to hospital May2023. From Chemo I had 2 days before my immune system was too low for me to stay at the hospital with my husband that first day. I told everyone including my husband I will be back. His sisters were on their way to hospital. They knew my situation. I took comfort in them coming and understanding I had to wait a day to come back to hospital. Been married for 30 years! I didn't think my husband was gonna die. Here's where the nightmare begins. His sisters get to hospital flipped out took it upon their selves to prevent me from coming back to hospital. They lied to this hospital. They put my Grandson in charge. Didn't care or listen to my situation. Blocked me getting any information or seeing him before he died. I had to take my marriage license to prove I'm his wife. I finally got to see him dead. Midland Creamation was who they choose to take care of remains. Midland Creamation has done nothing but make problems for me to get his corrected death certificate. I've taken birth certificate and my marriage license straight to the owner to prove I'm the next of kin. He died May 17 2023. They allowed someone to put false information on his death certificate. Since then I have not received his correct death certificate. They have lied to me several times won't keep me informed. Today I call vital records to check status on his death certificate, was told mid land creamation screwed up again. It was rejected due to dates don't match. This business has terrible customer support . They've been in business 15 years? And can't fix their s**** up in a timely manner. I patiently waited now 7 months. They aren't competent in their business. It's hard to relive his death over and over. Cause they are too dumb to get it right. you want something done right. Don't use.

To whom it may concern, as the Funeral Home, we are unsure of what goes on in the hospital with family members and such, once our staff takes a death call to pick a deceased up we go by the information the hospital gives us, *********************** in ****** **, gave ** the name of ***************************** and relationship to deceased is daughter, we went by the information that she had provided us to file a legal death certificate. We were never notified that the deceased was married and ********************************** did NOT contact us until weeks after the death after the death certificate had been released and filed with the *****************. She then called our funeral home and was very hateful, cursing, yelling, and calling names and using every profanity word in the book, she made several threats, and even threatened us with an attorney in which then we are no longer allowed to communicate with her. We did file the amendment per her request but notifying her that the state would take months, and that they may or may not accept this as she was not the legal next of kin on the paperwork or the death certificate filed. We completed and mailed off the Amendment on 10/05/2023. We have not heard anything on this until we got a threatening call from ***** on 12/27/2023 the state has not once called, and we have not received anything in the mail on this, Our office has copies of all provided documents in the file if they are needed. We have done everything on our end as we are supposed to, if you have any other questions please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you
