      I entered into a contract on August 20th, 2023 for 1st Choice Heating to come install a new HVAC system and Water heater in my home. The Quote was for $9,800. They came out and spent the day installing the equipment. I asked how much I owed, and paid them $10,700 without checking back to the quote. Since the moment they left the equipment was not running properly, pipes were leaking and overall the appearance of the unit was very poor and unprofessional. They came out several times trying to band-aid their ineffective installation. But never fixed the issue. I had another contractor come out and they diagnosed that the unit was too big for my house and that the air returns would need to be upgraded to make it work efficiently. About this same time, i noticed the overpayment. ***** told me he would issue a refund check for $900, and never did. I realized they were never going to fix the issue, so I decided to send an intent to sue letter, hoping ***** would know that I am serious - and try to fix his mistake. However, he replied back with a letter blatantly lying and accusing me of insisting that I have them install this size of unit. I know nothing about HVAC units, so that isnt something I would even know to ask for. I never followed through with the lawsuit - due to not having the money.. but I dont believe ***** should be capable of doing this to other people. Id love to get my money back - but i don't see that ever happening. I have pictures of the poor quality. Ive kept notes on all interactions and can provide you with everything if you need it. I even had an interaction with his former partner in which he admitted that they botched this job and that while ***** needs to make up for it - its out of his hands.
