Hired FORD Family to replace siding and a door that was leaking water into our basement and to do finish work on the basement where a water pipe had burst. Turned into a much larger project because our house had no house wrap existing. Ended up needing to replace the entire west and south side, which was done, as well as window replacements. They also repainted the house. Everything was going fine, the work was good, we are patient customers, until we left on a two-week vacation with the understanding that they were going to finish painting the house and start on the deck renovations. Like I said, turned into a massive project.

The last invoice I saw was just over $3,000 and I paid them $15,000 before we left. We got back from our trip to find the painting not done, windows not installed, nothing on the deck started and the belief that we hadn't paid for it. So 15,000 to zero out our account, a mysterious additional $1,000 was added to the windows and a $9,000 charge was added as a "labor" charge, with zero description of what that applied to, unlike every other labor charge before then on previous invoices. And yes, my calm customer demeanor disappeared and I completely lost my shit demanding where the money had gone. The excuse told to us is that the hourly charge was over $400, umm, okay, and we "still" owed over $2,000 to them. My husband paid them to make them leave.

To top it all off, the basement door is STILL leaking water. I sent one text, no response, and the job they were actually hired for, they failed to complete.

This customer never reached out to let us know there was there was an issue. This job ended up being much bigger than we expected. We are not willing to work with this customer any more due to her verbal aggression (cussing at me) while I was there requesting payment.
