      On 12/08/2024 a washer repairman came to my apartment to repair my washing machine. The repairman said the timer needed to be replaced. He charged me $100 for the service call and said he would be back the next day to install a new timer. On 12/10/2024 the repairman returned, installed a new timer, and charged me an additional $421.85. Only the new timer did NOTHING to resolve the issues I was having with my washer. It still didn't work properly. I called Able Appliance Repair and asked for a refund but they refused to refund my money. They said the only thing they could do is have the repairman return and try to fix the problem. I told them, "No" because obviously this repairman didn't know what he was doing. 6 weeks or more have past and Able Appliance Repair HAS NOT refunded my money. They have stolen over $500 from me with no resolution to this problem.

      After reviewing the situation, we wanted to clarify the options we’ve provided to make things right. We did initially offer to have the technician return to address the problem, but we understand you declined. Following that, we extended an offer to send a different technician for a fresh assessment, which was also declined. Additionally, we proposed issuing a refund if we could retrieve the part that was installed, which was not accepted either.
      We sincerely want to resolve this matter in a way that works for you. Our offer to retrieve the part in exchange for a refund still stands, and we’re more than willing to work with you to reach a fair resolution.       Repair was completed and the technician was nice. However, communication with the office was terrible. On 3 separate occasions, I had an appointment “window” setup and had to call Able Appliance when the technician did not show up. I then found out the part he needed had not arrived. I understand having to wait for a part to arrive, but I do not understand leaving the appointment on the books and not communicating that with the customer. This happened not once, but 3 times before my repair was completed. I will not be using Able Appliance again.

      Our dryer wasn’t working and we called Able Appliance Repair based on positive online reviews. We did not have a positive experience. technician charged the $99.95 service call fee after being there about 4 minute. He claimed we needed a new master control panel, a $500 part that would have to be specially ordered from the factory in Korea. He wanted payment up front for the part and said it was non returnable. We had another repair company come out and the master control panel is fine. The problem was a loose connection and the dryer needed cleaning. It works great again and we didn’t have to spend $600 not including labor. Best case scenario, the technician experienced confirmation bias - he thought it was the master control panel before he even looked at the dryer.

      The tech was on time, extremely nice, explained the problem and my options, and promptly did the work. I was so pleased. I was expecting to be told I needed a new washer and got by with a very reasonable bill. I would highly recommend Able.

      **** from Able came out yesterday for a refrigerator leak. He was prompt and tried to repair the leak, but my fridge is too old and has to be replaced. He was kind enough to recommend a plumber to call to help shut the water off. I am very satisfied with their service.

      Had Able App. out to fix back flow of water from its drain and ice cube maker not working. ***** the worker they sent out said it needs new icemaker, and steam out the frozen drain .turns out that not the icemaker,and a few weeks later the drain is still pluged. What a waste of money to have this company out.
