My landlord hired this company to get rid of Raccoons in the attic. They came out and put a trap in the back yard. They caught a possum. I called them to tell them they caught a possum in the back yard. They came back 4 days later let the possum die and did not speak to anyone. I called them back and they told me that they caught the animal and the job was listed as being done. I explained to the call center that the job was not complete. I called several more times and over 2 weeks later, they came back. My roommate said he was pretty sure it was raccoons but the technician told him, it was probably squirrels. He refused to believe that there is no access to attic from inside and then realized he was going to have to get on the roof. He put a small trap on the roof. It was knocked on to my porch the next morning. I called at least 3 more times and they kept telling me the job was done. I told them about the trap and they finally came out a week later. They took the trap and did not put another one up or speak to anyone. I called at least another 3 times and again was told that the job was done. I kept talking to a call center person and Noone ever called me back. This was in September and October. Raccoons are still here. I gave up on going thru Smithereen and began going thru my landlord, which is also doing nothing about it. Guess I need to start charging them rent, because it looks like they aren't going anywhere for a while.

Our manager ***** ******** has been in contact with the customer daily. Here is his statement.

I spoke to *** ****** and inspected the property. The original  technician placed traps along the ground where he found evidence of of the raccoon climbing to the roof. I found an opening in the roof and placed the trap on the roof near that area. If we do not have any capture ls by tomorrow we are placing a monitor over the opening to verify that something is still coming in and out. We are checking in daily with the customer.

I hired this company to rid my attic of raccoons. They claim to inspect the attic but never went in there. They put cage traps in the back yard. These traps were not close to the holes the raccoons were coming out of. This went on for a month. No raccoons were caught. They are charging me 65.00 for catching a possum and some cats. I'm not paying for their refusal of going in the attic. I hired someone else to go in the attic. They were able to go in the attic and caught 6 to 7 raccoons in two days. It was that simple. This company just wanted to bleed me dry and not attempting to resolve the problem. Since they refuse to solve the problem I refuse to pay them $65.00. I already paid them $149.99 for nothing. They need to stop sending me an invoice for non services rendered. That's all they are going to get out of me. I had carpenters come to the house the close up all the holes.

    Per our tech *******
On the initial visit there was no access to the attic. The access hole was in a closet and the closet needed to be cleared out for us to access the entry.
when he inspected the property there were tracks in the snow on the ground leading to the house so the cage traps were placed in that area.
This is a rental property and I have tried to contact her owner twice. We have charged off any invoices.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me by not paying for non-services. However the business is lying. I called them numerous times about issues. The attic is not in a closet. The entry was in the bedroom ceiling. I was told by the inspector he didn't feel like crawling up in the attic. The cages wouldn't fit through the entry way. I argue with several inspectors about way they were too lazy to put the cages were they needed to be. The cages were in the back yard and caught every animal in the back yard. The raccoons were still living in the attic. They were getting in with a hole in the roof. Which is now repaired. They wanted me to call them back to discuss the problem after they written off the arrears. I don't want to talk to a business who lies to the BBB and me.

    Regards,
