Purchased a WR 400 radio from Midland via ******* The description on the amazon says says sold by Midland. The radio never worked correctly. We never got alerts like we should’ve during storms. I contacted Midland customer service. They asked me for my address like they were going to send me a replacement and proof of purchase. I sent that information, Ava Midland customer service group said, I’m sorry I can’t replace that you bought it from a third-party seller, therefore not covered by the warranty. However, I pointed out to her in another email, as mentioned above, It was sold by midland through ******* I’ve never gotten a response back. The product is defective. I either want my money back or another radio. I don’t think they will ever respond to me. I’ve sent a couple other emails and they just want silent. Either way at this point, I will not be buying any more Midlands products but I would like a replacement.Customer Answer

I have purchased a few products from midland. One being a **** mobile radio. The next a portable base station and subsequently others. Less than a year of owning them the two listed have been an issue. First the micro mobile radio has stopped working. After an swr test it is putting out 1 watt where it should be putting out a min of 6 with 15 watts advertised. Also the antenna that this radio has came with fell apart at the base. I have not been able to contact them about this yet because the first thing I’ve been trying to contact them about was the portable base station. These items equal over $1000. They have no customer service line and will only slowly communicate through email. I was informed that the incorrect charger was sent. They asked me to ship the entire unit to be looked at via ***** (the nearest ***** is an hour away from me) I’m pretty savvy with electronics and asked if there was any way they could just ship a battery (that’s what failed due to the incorrect charger being sent) they blamed the company that made the unit for them. After not hearing back I contacted the company that made it for them and they said midland was not holding up their end of the bargain however they claimed it was the right charger and midland usually ships them incorrectly. This company apologized and said they would send me another replacement. I emailed midland back telling them that I was getting a replacement from them and they informed me that I will still need the other charger. I have emailed multiple times asking if they could send me the correct charger and they will not reply. If you would like copies of the emails please let me knowInitial Complaint

Aloha! I purchased a "*********" from Midland radio. However, I received a "15 Watts *********" Midland radio instead. I have emailed Midland radio on several occasion and I have made multiple phone calls to Midland Radio. However, my calls to Midland Radio goes to a recording that request individuals to use the customer support to contact the company via email. To this day, I have received one (1) email requesting that I a provide photo. I have provided Midland radio three (3) different angle of the "15 Watts *********" for proof of the product I have received.Initial Complaint

I'm trying to contact customer support to discuss some questions on a recent purchase. No One answers the phone at the company phone number--just a recording. Only way to get a response is through email which is a crappy customer support system. I would like to speak to an actual person on the phone to answer my questions.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The businesses comment above is not accurate. I had sent no less than 4 emails to customer support asking that they call me at the number I provided. I did finally get a call about 2 weeks after my initial email to customer support and only after I filed a complaint with the BBB.

Purchased a weather radio, the a/c adapter quit working, so I purchased another. Upon opening the box, I could not get product to work. Took the radio back to the store where the manager was able to make it work properly but once I got home, it took over 2 hours to get it back on and working. The instructions are not clear and the service has been intermittent. When I called the business, they just told me to go online. I do not have internet access and am disabled, therefore I need to speak with someone over the phone to resolve this issue.Business Response

We mentioned multiple times we would contact you when we were available due to a staff shortage. We did not make contact due to this complaint. We were not and have not ignored customers and made multiple attempts to try and resolve this issue via email knowing that we were not able to take the call for this radio and attempted to resolve it via email - which you were responding too but were not listing the question due to only wanting a phone call. Additionally we did reach out to confirm the best number to call you and once again mentioned that we would be able to call when we could. We called last week and did resolve this issue over the phone.
