    Amazing experience. My only regret is not doing it sooner. I had varicose veins from pregnancy, and learned to always cover my legs because I hated the way they looked. If I had known the procedure was so easy, I would’ve done it years ago! I made sure to follow the post-op guidelines, and my recovery went really well. I was back to working out and lifting weights in no time. Dr. S******* and his staff were great. Highly recommend!

    I don't know what negative experience to even start with. 1) I was scheduled for my 4th vein surgery in a matter of months with them. I had already paid over 10K in cash over the previous few months when we got a call that my mother in law had just days left to live and we had to fly to Canada 48 hours before my 4th surgery was scheduled. They have decided to charge me the $500 cancellation fee even given these circumstances and me offering to reschedule the surgery to a later date. 2) For my first surgery they told me they would submit it to insurance and let me know if a portion was going to be covered or not since I was out of network. They waited until the morning of my surgery, when I arrived at the office on LOADS of valium, completely incoherent, with no way to cancel, to let me know that I would have to pay cash in full for the procedure. 3) I went in for my varicose procedures with VERY minimal spider veins, and now after healing from three surgeries with him my legs are covered in spider veins and dark spots at the site of the procedures. These are just SOME of the awful experiences I've had with him. Save yourself, go somewhere else. No bedside manner whatsoever. (front desk staff and nurses were very nice and professional.)

    Ashley, we are very sorry for the recent loss of your mother-in-law. We understand your pain and grief through this time and offer our condolences to your family and your father-in-law. Unfortunately, the “facts” and timeline you present are misrepresentative of the actual situation. For example, your initial procedure was billed to your insurance, as is office protocol with all our vein patients. You were not asked for, nor did we accept any payment from you at that time. The first time we discussed payments from you was only after your insurance responded, and we were planning for your subsequent procedures months later.

    Regarding your cancellation less than 24 hours before your final scheduled procedure, we communicated with you repeatedly, after you reached out to us with your concerns regarding the potential of flying out of town the following week. After confirming with the doctor, our staff reassured you that it would be perfectly safe to travel after your procedure. There was no mention made to us at any time that you were either hoping to, or intending to, leave prior to the procedure. This is why we reminded you of the office cancellation policy. Certainly, any emergency brought to our attention which would have required you to travel immediately or urgently, rather than the following week, would have changed the circumstances with regards to the cancellation policy. In addition, you may recall that we had already rescheduled your procedure once previously, and as a courtesy to you, had waived the cancellation fee at that time.

    We are extremely disappointed and hurt as to why you are misrepresenting your experience and communications with us, as we had nothing but a good experience working with you as a patient in previous months. We most certainly would have addressed any of your other concerns, such as the dark spots around the incision areas you referenced, but none were brought to our attention by you. Since your procedure cancellation, we have reached out to you on multiple occasions, and even offered a potential option to once again waive the cancellation fee for you, due to the circumstances, but we have not received any response. We wish you well and are always here if you decide to proceed with your final vein treatment.
