    On August 3, 2023, we provided ******** Snider 3 checks totaling $9900 for an outdoor project at our home. *** provided a written proposal on the work he would be doing that was to begin in November. We had sent a few communications to *** along with the paperwork needed to be completed to get HOA approval for our project in August. He was slow to respond, with some texts receiving no response, then acknowledged he received the email with the pw but said hadn't even looked at it. On September 25, we contacted *** again to get status of paperwork, what was needed from us to complete to get process moving along and *** responded he didn't think our project was beginning until the first of the year, but he would review his notes and call us that evening. He never called, and over the past 2 months we had tried to communicate with *** either not responding or not following through with what he said he would do. Since Aug 3, once he received our money and cashed the checks immediately, he has provided no work or services on our project. On Oct 2, we sent *** a text asking for our deposit of $9900 based on lack of communication/responsiveness. He responded it would take him a few days to get the money together but would be in touch. Many other texts saying he would call, get back to us, etc., but never following through. It's now been 4 weeks since he said he'd return the deposit, and *** has had our money for a total 12 weeks. We have attempted to resolve amicably but have since learned about his past business practices, and legal issues doing a background check, and know he has no intention of willingly returning our deposit of $9900, for which he has provided no work or services.

    I contacted this business through ******** on May 29,2023 regarding some contracting work I wanted done in my home, including custom cabinet installation in my living room built ins, and conversion of a coat closet to a mudroom cubby area. We set up a time to meet, through a ******** chat, and he came to my home to give me a bid. After the bid we decided we would like the work done. He requested a deposit of $2,810 and stated the work would be done in a few weeks. He subsequently cashed our check the same day. I contacted him on June 14th after I had not heard from home and he told me it would be another 2-3 weeks due to some other jobs he had going on. I then contacted him again on July 11th. He said again that it would be a couple weeks, and for us to pick out cabinets. I thought we had already done this, so I asked for his direct phone number to further discuss on 7/19. I received no response. I again attempted to contact him on 8/7 and 8/12. When I never heard from him, I messaged him again on 8/14 requesting for our deposit back so we could have someone else complete the job. I sent the same request on 8/19 and 8/24. I finally received a response on 8/26, and a phone call on 8/28.He stated that he was having trouble with his messaging, and had not received my messages. He apologized and stated he would return my deposit the coming week of 8/28. He did not return it. I called and sent text messages starting on 8/31 when we had not received them. I called and texted again on 9/1, 9/2, and 9/6 and again received no response, and have never received our deposit of $2,810.
