15 mins early to appointment, gave them my keys and they were going to run a test on the blend doors. After almost 2 hours of me being there, they came out and said my car is running too hot and they had to reschedule. I drove my car half a mile to shop and it sat 2 hours INSIDE the shop so I was confused as to why it was so hot. So I told them I could not wait, that I can’t reschedule because I needed to go out of state and had two babies riding along, I needed to try fix my ac that weekend so I may look around for other shops. The mechanic doing the job said I told him the right story so he was gonna get it going, I was appreciative. We talked about pricing atleast 5 times because I am on a fixed income and times are tough, so I needed to know price before committing. The kid at the desk said 2 hours at $177, then 3, at $255 and then said 4 hours. I said I could not do that and I started to get a bit nervous of the company. The dad and owner said no no, and asked me if it needed to stop at 2 hours and I said yes that’s all I can afford. They called me later on that evening and said my vehicle was ready and my total was $266.

This had me sick to my stomach, I had to run around trying to come up with money I didn’t have, 20 minutes before they closed. I asked why my price went from $177 to $266 and he said he had to buy a part. I got my car and asked for a receipt of part and it was one they had made themselves, I wanted to know where they got it and I wanted an accurate receipt. I left and my ac was working, it was a cool week so I mostly drove around in boyfriends truck, when I went to drive my car it was blowing hot again. I called and they would not help me because he was upset I left an honest google review. Issue was not fixed, over charged, did not call to ask consent before buying and installing a part. He said he will not do business with me and I’m out my money because I left a review and I waited a week to tell him. Had to cancel trip due to overcharge.

We disagree with her account of things. We fixed her vehicle. She posted a review stating it was fixed, but was upset that we charged her for the part before calling her. She later deleted that review and contacted us stating it was never fixed. We saved that voicemail as well. We advised that we prefer her to go elsewhere as we have documentation of her stating it was fixed, then stating it was never fixed. We feel she is attempting to scam us. We also provided her with the bill that included the part. I’m attaching it as well.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I did post a review on google, later deleted. And ac was still not fixed, it worked long enough just for the fluids to leak out. The switch you bought was never needed. I took my car to another shop and they said it was 2 leaks in the ac compressor and had nothing to do with a switch.  The problem was never fixed, it will blow cold air until it all leaks out, you guys could have found that had you looked, instead of buying a part I did not consent to you buying.

point blank, the problem was not fixed. And I too feel scammed, you truely pulled one over on me and tried to get away with it by saying I’m scamming you? I called you and told you it was not working, you have the recording but I have the car for proof. The way you went about it was wrong. You were upset you had a bad review on google and kept saying how hard you work to get good reviews of your business, but you can’t handle a single bad review or the confrontation of that without getting upset and denying fixing the problem. That’s what the reviews are for, to make an honest statement on how a company did. All that aside, still… you over charged me, and did not fix the problem.

    Sincerely,

We were not upset about the review, we only mentioned the review as you stated within that we did in fact fix your car and make it blow cold air again, you were just upset we charged you for the part, without calling you first in your review.  We advised the job called for two hours. You advised us to fix it, so we did. We located the issue, put the part on, filled the fluids and fixed your air to blow cold again.

As stated on the phone, the issue we were fixing was the air was not blowing cold. That we fixed, to which you confirmed. On the phone we also advised that if it was not working again, there was an additional issue not related to it blowing cold. By your statement submitted, it is confirmed that there was in fact an additional issue. Not only were you not blowing cold, you had leaks that were not part of the quoted diagnostics that we advised you of, to which we would be fixing. That was not the job we were asked to perform. We are glad that your additional issue was able to be resolved by another shop.  had you not had our part on, though they fixed the additional issue of the leaks, it wouldn't be blowing cold without our fix with the new part.
