    I hired this guy in May and on May 23rd I gave him $600 to get supplies, and on May 31st, I paid him $700 for material and gave him $700 to work on my deck. He got foam board which is an underpinning. Instead of putting it together with glue, he put it together with duct tape. I had to take little pieces of duct tape on parts of the duct tape he had put on in order to keep the rest of the underpinning from coming off. On Aug. 15th, I contacted him and didn't get an answer. On Aug. 16th I got an answer and I was kind of upset and he hung up on me. I called him back and he said he would get to it when he could and I still have not heard one word from him. It's getting to be winter and I need him to fix this. Duct tape will not hold in the winter time. On the deck, the railing is sagging and the banister is wobbling. Nothing is staying together.

    I want the repairs done right.

    First i bid this job and she accepted the rate for materials and labor. i was paid $600 to buy supplies for the underpinning job on her r.v. and then was paid $700 the for a job she was very happy with after completion, she had told me that I would not be paid in full if she wasn't satisfied with the job. After that job was completed and I was paid in full she called me for the deck job which is where the third payment came from for supplies and I was paid the rest after the job was completed to her satisfaction.

    The underpinning which she agreed to use for her r.v. was put together underneath with metal brackets and wood framework. The tape on the outside was put there at her request , I agreed to put it on the outside to ease her mind. She was told to paint the foam board and tape to protect them for the winter months, when she called me I asked if she had painted it but she said she had not. She did not like my answers to her questions about that and started to threaten me over the phone so I did hang up on her. I don't feel comfortable doing any kind of business with her and I also feel I completed the jobs satisfactorily at her discretion. Going back to her saying from the beginning that she would not pay if she wasn't satisfied.

    I didn't have any other contractors.  I got the card off the laundromat bulletin board.  He was the only one that I had to come out here.  I just want my underpining repaired with good quality and correctly before it gets cold and my deck to be repaired correctly and with good quality too.
