      I have ordered from Cackle Nursery before and had very satisfying results. What's changed? I never received a notification of shipment and was surprised when I received a call from my post office yesterday morning telling me they had arrived. When I picked them up, they asked if I had a tracking number because there wasn't one on the box and without one they couldn't scan them as being delivered, and without doing that the *********** wouldn't receive their **** $15.00 shipping & handling fee. They were hesitant about letting me have them.When I returned home, after I got the chicks situated in their chicken coop and watched them eat and drink, I called Cackle Nursery to let them know there was no tracking number, yherefore I had no prior knowledge of a forthcoming delivery, and my post office couldn't scan it as delivered. I asked for a tracking number that I could give to the *********** so they could close out their delivery and get paid the $15.00 I paid to Cackle Nursery for **** shipping & handling fee. I was put on hold, lengthy holds, twice before being told, "That happens all the time. It's a glitch in our system." Well, if you have a glitch in your system, that you're obviously aware of, and for some time, fix it. Customers need and deserve advance notice of their deliveries and the *********** needs and deserves their $15.00 shipping & handling fee you already assessed the customer for. It doesn't look good and begs the question, "How much money is Cackle Nursery (apparently knowingly) stealing from the ***********?"I had one Buff Orpington chick die in transport and found two more Buff Orpington's dead this morning. They had shelter in a chicken house, non-medicated chick starter feed to eat, water to drink, bedding, moving air, and a lamp to get under, if needed and desired. This isn't my first chick rodeo! Cackle included only one (1) 'additional' Buff Orpington chick with my delivery of thirty (30) chicks. I'm two two (2) on my order.

      Ordered 20 chicks- 7 were DOA-shipped with no heat and no grow gel for this large of an hatchery shipping without heat is unacceptable. Another 5 died within a few hours of picking up. **************** refused to re ship due to a a new $15 **** shipping fee even though that was paid for in the initial costs.

      I'm very sorry that you've had this issue. I can assure you that we include hydrogel and feed in every shipment. A 3 day ship will often lead these resources being depleted. Per our guarantees and policies, we are only offering refunds and this was processed for you.

      Extremely pleased with customer service and of course the chicks I received. I will continue to ordered knowing that the chicks arrive healthy. I have ordered Splash Ameraucana’s Black Ameraucana’s , French Red tailed Marans and the newest of their breed Chocolate Eggers. Can’t wait till they all start laying.

      People blame Cackle Hatchery for the **** mess **** I have 7 chicks I got from Cackle, drove to get them 5 hours one way. They have tons of energy and look super healthy. Highly recommend Cackle Hatchery!

      Friendly, knowledgeable phone response from employees. A few chicks were deceased on arrival but extras were included in shipment so I received the number I had ordered alive and well. No need to order or wait for replacements or get a refund, no hassles.

      WORST COMPANY EVER!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!! I bought 15 birds for $141. 4 were dead on arrival and over the course of 24 hours 15 flipped over and died. I have owned chickens for 15 years and have never had this happen. The chicks appeared sick as they flipped over backwards and died. All but one died and because I did not report the deaths with the 24 hours, Cackle said not their problem and it's my fault for not reporting it sooner. I have one $141 chicken, and Cackle succeed out of scamming me with pretty pictures for a box of dead birds!!

      Again, we are very sorry that you had this experience. Our phone and email **** offered to go over setup with you. They both explained to you more about the policy agreed to when the order was placed. We have a live arrival only guarantee which requires loss to be reported within 24 hours of arrival. This is outlined in the policies and guarantees as well as noted on the packing slip shipped with each order.

      Ordered 15 Blue Egg Female Surplus and received 15 Ameracauna and 1 Cream Legbar. Ameracauna's were 5 black, 2 blue, 4 Lavender, 1 splash, and 3 that so far have solid white wings so assume will be white. The 3 white ones are the slowest growing ones. One chick arrived much smaller than the rest and a few were not well when received but I followed their ACV recipe, provided egg yolks and the increased heat they suggest. I had to hand feed one for a few days and gave that one sugar water - it has been weaker than the rest and not growing as fast still. They are two weeks old now and all 16 are still alive - even the tiny one and the struggling one. I have hatched/raised chicks for years, but Cackle's care sheet was different than what I would have normally done and grateful for their shipped chick advice as I haven't lost one chick yet! Very nice people and customer service to work with.

      Love Cackle Hatchery! I have been ordering from them since 2016. I pick up my chick's at the ******* location and am always greeted with kindness! Last pickup I received 4 extra chick's and all are healthy and doing great. Highly recommend Cackle Hatchery!!

      Should not be selling Chinese geese labeled as African geese. Look at the pictures of their African Geese then look up a realy African goose. They do not understand even after I've explained to them that they are selling ***** Chinese Geese as Africans. Simple ****** search would show them the difference but nothing no refunds for what the sold me just an email saying sorry can't help.
