      Recommended by a friend, I hired Always Clean to lay fresh sod on just my front yard. The work crew showed up and began laying the sod on top of my yard. I asked them if they were going to till or tear up the current yard. I was told that the sod would be just fine as long as I kept it watered. I watered continually and the sod began dying. I called the business later to address my concern and asked them for another bid to try it again. A young man showed up and told me that they would do it again but this time, they would put fresh topsoil down first. I purchased the topsoil and waited for their bid. I asked if they would consider adjusting the bid seeing that the original sod died. I received the bid for $1,178.50 which was in addition to the $350 I already paid for the soil. I attempted to call the business a couple of times and left a message but as of yet, they haven't returned my call. The people I talked to were very nice and I felt that it would only be fair if they absorbed part of my loss. I since have researched laying sod on preexisting lawns, and I learned that the old lawn should have been removed. I'm not asking for a total refund, just for the price of the sod.Respectfully submitted,*******************
