      Don't rent from this f****** outfit they are ignoring my doctor notes to move into a different apartment off of the hillside I live on they play favors to different people I'm 66 and have fell twice where I live in ****************** it is a **** poor company and ******* is a royal b**** she is the district manager they want me to fill out a whole new application instead of transferring me I can't stand this company **** poor management

      There's a lot of favoritism and they allow dogs that is a great **** over the weight limit I'm living with cockroaches because of a dirty neighbor and nothing is getting done about it plus living with mold Wall leaking I had to have a cockroach flushed out of my ear since I've been living here the apartment wasn't clean when I moved in it was full of dead cockroaches things like that

      I would not recommend renting from MACO, property manager admits she doesnt care and hates old people. Locks door during posted open hours. Only answers phone when MACO staff calling. Other Calls go to voicemail, theres more tatslly unacceptable lack of business procedures. Failure to upkeep property as advertised on Wensite.

      Maco properties is not up to date with the government on their apartments I have a apartment the is so run down they won't fix it and I'm disabled they are rude people and play favoritism with the clients they need to condem the apartments in strafford ******** I want to transfer and they won't let me but they do other clients I'm getting ready to see about suing them cuz of their apartments.

      Lets see where to start. I lived in one of the Maco Properties from 2013-2015 with no complaints. I moved out due to having another child and needed more room in 2015. In ************************************************************************************************************************** April 2023 I applied again submitted paperwork and everything needed. In October 2023 I was called by one of the property managers and said they had an apartment ready for me. Well that was false. In April 2024 I called to get an update and the new property manager said she tried to call me but apparently the last property manager didnt update my number. Well I got everything together for them and told them I was a former resident. Well out of the blue I was told I was flagged I have contacted the managers (regional and the one above her) to find out why? Cause I never got a letter when I moved out the first time. Till this day nobody has contacted me back. Ive messaged the company on ******** and that was left on read.

      I am an elderly disabled female I have lived at one of these **mpanies properties only a month I am NOT getting any rental assistance I just moved from a quality apartment where rent was high and going up and even though I dont qualify for rental assistance ***************** properties are less rent but then you got the aggravation of dealing with those kinds of properties I have lived on them before I have dealt also with HUD Section 8 and I know not only the government guidelines I am well aware of housing laws and my rights as a tenant I would have thought since they knew this before renting to me they knew better than to try to VIOLATE me in any way but VIOLATE me they have and on every level I am not going into details Its all in the review I moved into a FILTHY almost UNLIVABLE apartment with NO HOT WATER for a MONTH There is NO **ntact info except what I had from the person I had been in **ntact with through the application process which I had no problem getting approved Last month I was gold this month GARBAGE They do NOT provide **ntact info DONT reply to anything you do try and the only thing they did do was CONFRONT me about my **mplaints NOT FIX anything I have not threatened or harassed anyone in fact the OPPOSITE is true I am the victim here...now trying to ILLEGALLY end my lease I want to move but they arent ** operating with providing rental reference eithe They are ruining my life and stressing me to the limit I am old sick and poor and thats what this property is full of! I am so distressed I literally do not know what to do or where to turn I dont even think this will work cause the entire **mpany seems to be full of abusive passive aggresive LIARS I need help Im so broken I dont know what to do I have NO money and NO HELP. NOW that they are finally fixing everything and I have cleaned this place from top to bottom I just want these LIES and the attempts to REMOVE me to go away I have done NOTHING wrong.

      On February 28th and my sons dad was at my house staying and in previous weeks the manager and I had talked about him being here every other week helping me out with our child while Im helping my family with a death happening and he said that was fine until this particular day when he met my sons dad at the car and told him to tell me that I need to come to the office and talk about his residency here. I went down there and he made me wait in the cold for his mainlanders guy to get done doing what he was doing so he could be in the office with us. We got in the office and ***** basically told me I wasnt able to have him here anymore because we are only allowed to have people stay the night 14 days out of the year and I had passed that. When that conversation was over I asked him why he thought he needed to meet people at their cars to ask them who they are and who they are here to see and he said This is my property and I have to know everyone that comes here. I didnt feel like that was a valid reason to invade my privacy and others privacy. The maintenance guy chimed in and told me that they are trying to get this place cleaned up(thats why they need to know everyone) and I told him that Im not the worst tenant here and he raised his voice at me, I told him not to do that and I walked out the door. *****(manager) followed me out the door and told me to come back in there and finish the conversation, I told him no, and he said he would write me a violation then and then I told him the maintenance guy isnt going to talk to me like that to what he replied youre not going to talk to him like that, Ill just write up your lease termination papers, have a good day. I got my lease termination papers in the mail on Monday March 3rd stating that I am being terminated because I had someone here to long and harassment of manager and maintenance.

      I have lived in one of this companies properties for less than a month Worst experience of my life and I have to move again now. They do NOT have any way to contact them They refuse to repair anything The filth in this apartment was beyond disgusting and I have had NO hot water since move in day. The thing keeps kicking off indicating there is a PROBLEM but NO the problem is ME complaining The emergency maintenance number which is the ONLY number you are given is a joke They do not even respond They say fill out a work order but how are you supposed to do that when the office is always locked and the manager is never here . I did have a contact email from when I was inquiring and applying and so I was writing to her which those got ignored but they will use them against you when they know they are wrong and you are trying to make them answer for it They are also calling using the AFTER HOURS number after hours that they dont respond to anyway harassment Now that I have CLEANED this place from top to bottom got all settled and yet STILL complaining because of unsafe hot water heater and NOT having hot water they serve me with some bogus illegal document that they are terminating the lease. When they arent ignoring you they are confronting you and the manager actually entered my apartment and came into my bedroom when I was in bed For what reason I still dont know Said he had permission I said maintenance could go in to see to the hot water heater if I wasnt home So me being home walking in and NOT fixing the hot water heater negates his reason for being here plus the manager doesnt do maintenance .I am a 72 year old disabled female who lives alone This is RDP but I am paying full rent I have been ripped off lied to ignored confronted my words twisted and false accusations made I have to move and I have no help no money and its all so wrong They are masters at this They want you to PAY your rent and keep your mouth closed OR ELSE Most horrible company EVER!

      I rented an apt at Strafford Manor, we went without maintenence and a manager the majority of the time renting there, when I moved in there were cigarette ***** in the carpet. I mentioned it to the manager before I signed a lease and he told me that it was OK because he knew it was there. I have never smoked a day in my life but when I moved out in May of 2023 a new manager was hired and I was charged ***** dollars for carpeting because of those burn marks. I was NEVER notified about this until it showed up on my credit report which caused it to drop 95 points. During my time at the apartments ALL of the window AC units are full of mold, my frig leaked water, the outlets need replaced, the bathroom ceiling fan leaks water especially in the winter the ** front burner went from low to high on its own. The baseboard heaters are from ****. After the manager who was there when I moved in quit. I had to dump the trash in the containers into the dumpster because it was so full that trash was on the ground, rats were running around all over and not 1 employee of maco came to dump trash. These apts are for the elderly and disabled. This would be a great place to live if maco would hire new upper management. I recently found out from the previous person who had my apt that maco charged her for the exact same carpeting burn holes. So maco is charging multiple people for the same carpet ***** but not replacing the carpet. I paid a cleaning company to come in before I moved in and after I moved out to clean and still didn't get my deposit back

      I live in Richland Apartments. We have been stuck here for 12 years. Our bathroom ceiling caved in from plumbing issues and their "repair" was sticking some dry wood up and leaving it there. They never filled in the sides. There's LARGE gaping holes. The leak was never fixed and it is now covered in mold and mildew. When we complained that the water was still leaking, they took a pencil and poked holes into the drywall so the water would drip into the bathtub. We reported it again and they said it's "Functional" so it's not a problem. This was over 5 years ago. Today, we just got written up for using Diatomaceous Earth (DE) for ***** and bedbug control (although we cannot report the bedbugs, since anyone who does is immediately evicted) because it's "against MACO policy to use DE" and we would be reported. They were going to use COMBAT ***** bait, which can be bought in ******** I used COMBAT for 2 years before the roaches became immune to it entirely, and then switched to VENDETTA PLUS, which was recommended to me by more than 5 different exterminators. They became immune to that too, so I switched to DE as a multipurpose strike. ****, I may be getting evicted for using a completely safe and natural pest control powder. NEVER rent from these people. I have MANY MANY more stories I could tell
