    I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against 1-41 Auto Service (formerly ******** Auto Service), Unfortunately, my recent experience with the new ownership has been extremely **************** August 2023, my son's vehicle was due for inspection for the upcoming September month. After an initial inspection at ********** in **********, **, we learned that his car had failed due to a 2 cracked sway bar links. A serious safety issue that required immediate attention. This was all replaced & repaired just 11 months earlier by 1-41 Auto Service in September 2022.The sway bar is not a part that typically fails from regular driving.When we approached 1-41 Auto Service for assistance regarding their original work, we were met with indifference. We were told, "That owner is no longer working here. We have a new owner, & it's not our fault. If you want your car repaired, you will have to pay again." The original repair, including labor, was $573.59.We attempted to reach the previous owner for resolution, but our efforts were met with frustration. Although the business name remained the same, the new owners refused to take responsibility for the work done under previous management. Despite our willingness to have additional repairs done at their shop, we only sought to have the original sway bar repaired Essentially we were met with an " Oh well" attitude. Ultimately, we had repairs at ********* in *******, **, the work was completed correctly for a total of $261.58 for parts plus & total labor cost was $153.18. I cannot accurately itemize labor since it was combined with repairs .I feel safe that he bulk of labor charges came from the tie ********** repairs. We believe we deserve compensation for the faulty repair and the additional expenses incurred due to their negligence.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope to see a resolution that reflects the values of customer ********************** and integrity that ******** Auto Service once upheld

    Update on Complaint Against 141 Auto Services

    I am writing to provide an update regarding my complaint against 141 Auto Services and the response I received through the BBB messages portal.

     

    Today, I received a message from the owner, ****** who expressed a desire to discuss my complaint. I called the business but was informed that he was not available and would return next Friday, February 6, 2025. I left my contact information and requested a call back.

     

    To my surprise, I received a call from ***** within 15 minutes. Our conversation was pleasant and productive. He explained that he recently took over the business from the previous owner, who was elderly and no longer able to manage operations. ***** mentioned that he does not have access to records or parts related to the work done on my son's car, making it difficult for him to determine if the parts used were under warranty or in what condition they were.

     

    ***** also informed me that as of January 2024, he changed the business name to ************. While this is a minor change, he used it to clarify his position regarding liability for past work.

     

    Throughout our conversation, I found ***** to be sympathetic and understanding. He expressed a genuine desire to maintain a positive relationship with customers and offered free labor for any future repairs on our vehicle. He emphasized his commitment to upholding the reputation of the business, which was originally known as "******** Auto Service."

     

    I truly appreciate *****'s willingness to reach out and his kind demeanor during our discussion. His offer of free labor for future repairs is a generous gesture that reflects his dedication to customer **********************.

     

    At this point, I plan to contact our municipal courthouse to gather more information about the previous owner, which may help me further address my concerns. Overall, I am satisfied with *****'s response and hopeful that under his ownership, this business will once again become a trustworthy and responsible option for car repair needs in our community.
