    In March 2019 I originally called this company to do a chimney sweep and inspection. **** ****** charged me $140. I never got a copy of the receipt or the service report. He said that my chimney was unsafe, had rust, and had a flue fire. He recommend fire inserts. I told him I would think about it. A few days later he said he could fix it and wouldn't need the inserts. He charged me $4,000 and said he put liner and water proofed it. He assured me that it was fixed. In October or November of this year I contacted him for another inspection. His son came out and he instantly told me the fire place wasn't usable and wasn't safe. I told him about the work his dad did and how he assured me that it was fixed. He then went back outside to have a long conversation with his father. He came back and went on my roof and did caulking around the chimney without my permission. He then charged me for a cleaning and inspection, although he didn't clean it. I told him I didn't think that pricing was fair since he didn't clean it, but I paid him because he wouldn't leave unless did. 2 weeks afterwards I had another inspector come out. He told me the fireplace was totally rusted out, and that if he had fixed it in 2019 there is no way it should have been the way. He also said there was no way they wouldn't have known it was that rusted because they would've had to cut some of the rust out to put the liners in. I told **** ****** about what the other inspector stated in his inspection, and he totally denied any responsibility. He said it was ground water coming up that caused the rust. I shared this with the other inspector and he said there is no such thing as ground water causing rust all the up to the top of my chimney. **** ****** stood in my home for over an hour trying to explain before I had to ask him to leave. I also asked for a copy of the receipts and service reports and he would not give them to me. He kept making excuses that they were on his phone. At this time all I have is the invoice from 2019 and the service report from when his son came out this year.

    chosen to refund her the money for the repair of the inside of the chimney with
    a stainless steel lining system. I can see no benefit to her by me trying to
    explain my thoughts on the situation.
