I have been trying to get ahold of the person that filed my taxes last year. She filed my state taxes for the wrong year. I started calling in the beginning of July and they said she was on vacation for two weeks. I called back after that several times and I left messages. I finally spoke to her and she said I'll reach out to the state and take care of it. Then she told me she would take to some of her associates and she didn't call back. I called to talk to the owner and they wouldn't transfer me to him. Now they are saying he's on vacation for two weeks. The state is charging me interest and I need this resolved.

To whom it may concernI prepared ***** ***** **** tax return for her. I did not file her tax return for the wrong year, the State of Missouri, posted *** ***** payment to the wrong tax year. They subsequently issued her a refund for her payment. As this is our off season, I was on vacation for 2 weeks, I did talk to her the week I returned. I instructed ******** to deposit the refund check and submit payment to the state for the amount due. If there are interest charges involved, we can either assist *** ***** with writing a letter to the state and have them forgiven since it was the state's error or she can submit a copy of the letter with the interest amount to our office and we will reimburse her for the interest charges.
