I went to see Dr. ******* on 4/11/25 to discuss the removal of an abscess from my gum. This dentist is in-network with my insurance company. The dentist wrote up a report on what was needed to remove the abscess. The office manager asked me to sign the document. She said the only figure that would be submitted to ***** was the $1,514 amount. She asked that I pay in advance and asked me to sign the document, which I did. I was not given a copy of that document, only my credit card receipt. BAD mistake on my part. I never dreamed she was not being honest with me. I had an appt 3 weeks later to fix the problem. The desk clerk asked me to sign a couple more documents when I arrived for my appointment. I signed without reading them too. I was in a lot of pain and just figured it was to give authorization for ***** to pay for the services rendered. I was wrong, it had to do with charging me over $5000 for this procedure. WOW! No one told me that my insurance company would not pay for this service. I feel I was deceived. The next appointment was not for 3 weeks. An upright company would have sent these documents to me in advance not ask a person in pain to sign a commitment 5 minutes before the procedure. The front desk person did not give me a copy of those documents either. I had to wait 2 hours before the dentist saw me that day. He was running late. I would have had plenty of time to read it. I trusted them in what they told me. My mistake, but shame on this company for not being forthcoming with me. Do not sign anything with this company without reading it. You cannot believe what they say. I should have been told in advance that this was not a procedure Aetna would cover. They know what ***** will pay for or should warn you to check with your insurance company before the appointment. An upstanding company would have done that. This company is lacking in transparency and professionalism. Clarity and integrity are also absent from this dental facility.

Definitely has ethics issues. Mainly with the office manager. Had problems eating due to pressure on two molars and a tooth ache. Unfortunately I have ****************** who denied the crowns after the work was completed. Up front I was required to pay over $****. I had no idea the claim had been denied until 6 months later when I got a bill for $400. Then the bill indicated the $400 amount was already 90 days past due. No communication from the dentist office or ******************. The ************** manager refused to help me file an appeal and took it upon myself to file the appeal. To be honest working with ****************** Medicare was no better. After telling the dentist office manager that I wasnt done she got up in my face and yelled at me what are you going to do? Trying to bully me. Then told me not to question the dentist as if I didnt have the right to question anything. The office manager stayed I had to comply with their payment schedule and thats the way it is. Now mind you I had already agreed to pay **** and now coming back saying I owe $400 more. In working with a claims supervisor at United I discovered the reason the claim was denied as the dentist did such a poor job with the **rays that they didnt support the need for the procedures. They told the dentist office this but by then the work was already done so they couldnt do new **rays. The dentist office manager just blamed the insurance company and made no mention of the of the inadequate work to support the claim. I got a November bill for which my wife and I decided just to pay and get out from under this unscrupulous dentist office. Two days after paying the November bill in full I get a notice from a collection agency. Why do I now have to endure this from a company who I already agreed to pay if the insurance company didnt. I even went to the office to report my efforts with the insurance company. The office manager will resort to bullying. ******* of dentistry at its best.
