I purchased gas from this location on Wed. Jan 24. The following day (Thurs. jan 25) I see a separate transaction of $150 in addition to my gas purchase. Both transactions had already posted to my account (not pending). I called and was told that the charge would "fall off" in a couple hours. I mentioned that both charges had already cleared my account and that I've previously gotten gas from this location using the same card and have never had a separate charge or hold. I was again told to give it a couple hours. I called back on Friday (26th) Told the same thing "give it a couple hours. On Saturday (27th) I called my bank who confirmed what I've been saying since day 1. They stated that the charge of $150 has posted and cleared my account and will not "fall off". My bank recommended reaching out to the store to see if they could identify what caused the second charge and reverse the charge, prior to me opening a fraud claim as that could take up to 3 months to resolve. I called the store again go through the story again. I'm told I need to contact the "finance department" I call the number I"m given and it goes to a service number for Philipps CC holders. I physically go to the store on Saturday the 27th. I speak with the manager, who tells me that banks place the holds not the store. I again say that the issue is this is not a hold, as everyone keeps trying to tell me it is. My bank has confirmed that this is a charge that has cleared and posted to my account. She said she would need a couple hours to investigate and review the transactions for the day. I left my name, phone number and the last digits of the card used. I was not contacted. I think it is particularly unprofessional and also dangerous to blow unauthorized transactions or to at minimum investigate
