    I adopted a rescue dog from The Yuppy Puppy ************** in ***********, ********. Adopted a dog on May 16th, 2025.The dog instantly showed aggression and lunged toward at least seven people. Animal experts (vet, trainers, vet techs) agreed that this dog was aggressive before he was sent home with me. The Yuppy Puppy had to know that he was a potentially dangerous dog as he was in their shelter for 8 months. This could have resulted in serious injuries to people and/or other dogs.I paid a $295 adoption fee.Yuppy Puppy won't take the dog back and I'm left with having to euthanize a dangerous dog.

    Good afternoon. While Yuppy Puppy Pet Spa does care for Yuppy Puppies Forever ***** 501c3 Non Profit rescue dogs, they are separate entities and this should be handled directly with the non profit rescue.

    We boarded our dog (5 years old) on 3/20/23 at 8 am. He was in the VIP suite which is a minimum of 4 walks per day. At 5 pm that same day, our teenage daughter visited him and realized he had not been walked at all that day! He urinated for over a minute and was yelping, begging for her to take him home. He is home now and we are taking him to ********** going forward. The staff at Yuppy Puppy is negligent!

     According to our surveillance records we have that ***** arrived, tail wagging and happy at 9:18 a.m. on 3/10/2023. We then take him immediately outside before settling into his VIP Suite. He was let out again at 11:11 a.m. again, tail wagging. When your daughter came to visit him at 4:00 p.m., he came in running and tail wagging. She fed him treats and asked to let him outside in the adjacent yard to which we said yes. She then let him run free into the lobby and a front desk staff member picks him up.  He was returned to his room happy and his tail wagging.  His next scheduled walk with us was done at 4:45 p.m. per surveillance. All of our suites come with 4 walks per day, this is standard here at YP. They are performed at these times: First walks: 6-8a.m.; Second walks: 10-12p.m.; Third walks 3-5p.m.; Last walks 8-10p.m. Per our review of our recorded phone conversations, after your daughter left, you were very accusatory of our procedures not being completed even after you had spoken with two staff managers. These managers assured you he was being cared for and it was properly recorded. We do not provide staff names for privacy reasons. After having those conversations with you, being interrogated about caring for ***** caused them to feel uneasy. They notified my CEO. My CEO then reached out to you and was also called names and at that time refused service. You were asked to come pick up ***** prior to close of business that day. You were not charged for any services provided on this day, therefore, a refund is not appropriate.

    Those are the facts of *****'s 8 hours and 25 minutes with us that day. As we strive to care appropriately and safely for each and every guest we provide for, if a client feels that we are not suited to care for their pet they should find somewhere they can trust and are comfortable with. We have enjoyed getting to know ***** and his quirks for all these years and hope that you found a place meeting your requirements.

    I am rejecting this response because:



    The staff was unable to tell us when ***** was walked at the time I called. After 2 more subsequent calls, from 2 more staff members they were also unclear about when and who walked him. They were then very defensive and demanded he was to be picked up within 30 minutes. We had a flight scheduled and had to scramble to get him boarded end at another location. They were unwilling to work with us. All we wanted was clarity and had hoped they would give us peace of mind that he was being taken care of.
