    On April 6th, 2025, I first requested my $400 security deposit when I returned my keys and remote for the garage to the apartment complex. The two managers performed a walkthrough of my apartment to ensure that it was clean and there weren&#**;t any damages. One of two managers I returned my keys and garage remote to informed me that it would take up to two weeks for my security deposit to be issued. Two weeks later, I contacted the complex and spoke with Ms. ******* the other manager, to ask about the status of the check. She informed me that according to my rental agreement the security deposit could take up 30 days from the time I leave the apartment. Since May 1st, I contacted the complex every day to ask about the status of my security deposit. On May 9th, the complex informed me that the check may have gotten lost in the mail and will have to reissue another check. I feel like this had not been addressed seriously to ensure that I promptly received the check. I have the rental agreement just in case I would need to show proof for my complaint.

    Dear Mr. ************** you for bringing this matter to our attention. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or frustration you may have experienced regarding the refund of your security deposit.
    After reviewing the details of your complaint, we have investigated the status of your refund.According to our records, the security deposit refund of ****** was processed on 4/17/2025 and sent to *************** However, it appears that the funds may not have reached the intended destination.
    To promptly resolve the issue, a new refund in the amount of $400 was expedited and mailed on 5/16/2025 via check and received in the ************** on 5/19/2025. A member of our team did reach out to you to let you know the refund was in the office.
    In regards to the security deposit being mailed, in the lease it does state that the security deposit will be mailed to the forwarding address within the legal required period.
    If you have any further concerns, please dont hesitate to contact us directly at ************. We are committed to ensuring this matter is fully resolved to your satisfaction.
