    Hired ********************************* May 31, 2024 to complete a 24x30 concrete slab, breeze ********** walk. Total for job was $15,900 with half due at signing and remainder at completion. He said he could get it done in 5 dry days. We wrote a check for $7950, which *** ********** went straight to our bank to cash. *** ********** did show up June 11th and started working. He worked June 11th, June 13th, June 17, June 22, July 13th, July 24th, July 25, July 29th, August 1st, August 6th. These days were only until maybe 12pm or 1pm. The big gap in the footers being dug and footer concrete poured, the dirt fell back in, and he had to redo his work on July 24th. A gap between June 20th and July 5th, we tried to get a hold of *** ********* via text messages, phone calls and email to find out the progress and when he could finish, and we finally just asked for our money back. He finally responded July 5th to the email sent, stating he wasnt going to run off with our money and he would finish the job. He has either not responded to phone calls or text messages from us checking on the status or just makes excuses as to why he hasnt finished it. His communication as a business was horrible. Finally, August 28th he said he had the forms for the walls but had to finish two houses then he would be at our house the next week, September 1st-7th. We gave him that week then reached out September 6th letting him know we were done with his services and needed at least $5,000 back since he never showed up. He does not agree with that amount, but since he has had another long gaps in time, the dirt has all falling in again and we will have to find another contractor to fix his work and finish the job. We have had to rent a storage unit which is costing us $141.10 a month and having to wait to get some other projects done due to the large hole in our yard. He has stolen our money and has not been in contact to refund anything. We are now seeking legal assistance.
