I am writing to file a complaint against ****************************** Tree Service for unprofessional and negligent practices that occurred during the week of May 26th 2024 while they were performing tree removal work for my neighbor, ********************* at ********************************************************Incident Details: During my neighbor's tree removal, a portion of the cut branches fell and became entangled in one of the trees on my property. This cut tree over 20 feet long has remained lodged in my tree for the past week, creating a safety hazard. While the work was being done, a company employee also negligently allowed their toddler child to play in my backyard without my permission, while they were cutting my neighbors trees and branches were falling. This not only constitutes trespassing but also presents a significant safety risk for the child, especially considering the nature of the work being performed. My elderly neighbor informed me she has paid ****************************** Tree Service a concerning amount of $10,000 for the removal of her trees exceeding 20 feet in height. This raises concerns about potential predatory pricing, particularly given ****************************** lack of proper equipment. They relied solely on a single worker climbing the trees for removal without protective gear, which was haphazard and unsafe. Despite promising to remove the fallen branch from my tree on Friday, June 7th I have little faith in their ability to follow through based on their previous behavior. When I contacted them about removing the cut tree from my tree, they hung up on me. The continued presence of this large tree stuck on my tree on my property poses a safety risk, especially with family members will be visiting soon.Request for Resolution: I request the BBB's assistance in ensuring ****************************** Tree Service removes the debris from my property promptly and professionally this week, or I will be taking this to the Illinois State's Attorney.Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Had Powell & Sons Tree Service to remove a large tree that was thrown onto my house during a 6/29/23 tornado.
Crew worked part of 3 days, agreement for $3000.
When *** ****** ran my credit card on his portable authenticator he posted it for $3100. My statement came a few days later & I saw that he clearly was overbillìng me. I am a retired senior citizen & he took complete advantage of me. He still needs to provide me w/ an itemized statement re: a necessary repair to my roof. I texted him that my adjuster would be here on 8/5/23 & that I need that statement before she arrives. He called immediately after my text inquiring when he would get his money. I told him it** out of my hands now & to contact ********** for payment info. He grew angry pushing for a date when he would see his money. We continued like that for a few minutes until I finally said I've seen his attempted fraud and reported it as criminal. He threatened to put a Contractor** lien on my property & grew more enraged. I said I will be needing that itemization to complete my insurance claim & that I had included my address in the text. Told him to provide that paperwork and that our business together was over and ended the call.
This exchange took place on 7/26/23 and reported to ************ Fraud center. Have not gotten the statement or heard anything further from him. I would like to have him charged w/ attempted theft and assorted crimes against senior citizens, as I have grown somewhat afraid since his threatening tone during the call. He operates out of Hannibal MO & I am located in Springfield IL, so I am grateful there** distance between us, but will not be secure until I receive the invoice and know that he has been appropriately disciplined for his transgression.

I would like to report that *** ****** has failed to produce an itemized statement for the roof repair for $1000.  We discussed he would bring it here and leave in mailbox.  He failed to do so, even after a reminder I sent via text that my insurance adjuster would be coming soon and I needed it for my claim.  I have now disputed the $1000 charge as he has not performed professionally and I believe he has to pay for that.  I requested ********** to now add the $1000 to my ongoing dispute for breaking business standards.  I further have asked that he be charged criminally for the credit card ($100)charge he tried to take, made an unjust charge for roof repair ($1000) , and charges related to crimes against senior citizens: attempt to defraud, charging for work not completed and, most importantly, penalized for creating this nightmare that has not stopped
