    He took deposit $4000. Start on April 17. Work only ***** hours in 3 weeks and give me excuses why he cant come n just gone. He promised to finish my work in two weeks. Pass 5 not even quarter of work done. Dont respond to calls

    We entered into a contract with *************************** on 10/12/2022 it stated that he would perform the following : insulate ceiling and walls, tin ceiling, drywall our walls, remove a partial wall, install a door, paint, bead boarding, install chair rail and flooring and new stairs. We paid him a down payment $3,080.He has not completed even half of that and refuses to return any correspondence we've sent to him. He barely came to work and the days he came to work he only worked until noon. He has stolen money from us for materials and labor that never materialized. We have asked him to repay $2650 he took from us for labor and materials that never showed up at our house. I have proof of payment and I have a signed contract that he has not abided by. I outline below what exactly he has done and what he has not done:He completed the following: insulate ceiling and walls. He partially completed the following: tin ceiling(installation), dry *******(our walls) paint(our walls)He did not start the following: removal of a partial wall, installation of door, bead boarding, install chair rail, flooring and new stairs, addition of wall on side of stairs.In addition to this we wrote the following checks: Check #**** for $1500 which was an additional down paymentfor bead-board and a bookshelf Check #**** for $550 which was for materials for our stairs Check #**** for $600 which was for the additional wall on the side of our stairs.We have attempted to reach out to him over and over again to no avail. We were required to make checks out to *************************** as that is who is on the *** but we dealt with *************** and he did ALL of the construction.

    This is in response to the questions sent to me today asking if the contractor had contacted me and the answer is no. I attempted contact many times. He did not reply. It has never been resolved.
