I applied for rental property with this company. Frank L**** was the contact. I believe he tried to get over on me by price gouging. When Mr. L**** sent the papers to me, via my email, the price listed on the paperwork was $1799 a month. That same day an email was sent to me from Frank L**** with that same property listing saying the rent amount was lowered to $1739. The next week on September 9, 2024, after checking to see if the listing was still on line, I saw that it was still on multiple rental sites listed for $1739 monthly. I then sent Mr. L**** a copy of the listing from the Zillow site and asked if that was the actual price for rent and if so will I be sent paperwork with that listing price. I did not receive a response from Frank L**** that day. As of Tuesday September 10, 2024 the property had been taken off the market on Zillow & some of the other rental sites. The next day, on September 11,2024 around 1:50pm, I decided to call the number for Mr. L****. I got now answer so I left a message for him to please contact me regarding the conflicting rental amounts. He sent me a message shortly after, stating that "unfortunately the couple who didn't won't to sign the lease prior went ahead and signed on". I was irritated. I feel as if I am being toyed with by this guy at this point. The sudden change in direction after I had enquired about the price change. Why do that to someone? If he was waiting for the other couple to come up with the money for the place, he shouldn't have asked if I were still interested in the place, send me an email showing a drop in the rent amount, tell me we were moving forward with the application process, send me papers to "docusign". That was a complete and total waist of my time & for what? This is not only unfair treatment, it is also very frustrating, when all I'm trying to do is find a suitable place for me and my sons to live. This experience has been very unnecessary & stressful.
