    We entered into a contract with NZC last summer. In the contract they agreed to specific things we wanted done to the deck. We wanted it all composite decking. We even paid them extra to do these things. They only laid some composite deck boards down and did the rest in wood. In the contract that they agreed to we requested no natural wood be used in the construction of the deck. They refused to fix this. With that situation, they were given ample time per the contract to correct the deck. Again they refused which was a complete breach of the contract we and they agreed to. As stated in the contract, we were entitled to our earnest money back and the money we initially paid them to make these modifications. They did not reimburse us our money. Since they breached the contract and refused to pay us our money back, I believe that is essentially stealing. They had the nerve to threaten us with legal action if we didn’t go through with buying the home. We did not buy it because they breached our contract. They are a completely dishonest company and I advise anyone to beware of any dealings with them. They are simply thieves and dishonest. Worst company I have ever dealt with.

    There are multiple inaccuracies in this complaint. The contract was with ** ************ *** **** ****** ************* The contract was cancelled after the parties could not reach an agreement. The ******* agreed to forfeit the earnest money. Attached is signed copy of the Cancellation and Mutual Agreement from both parties, provided by the realtor on October 19, 2023. Also attached is the original agreement signed in July 2023. We believe this complaint is unfounded and appreciate your time in the matter.
