In August of 2022 I brought a window into their store to be measured up to get replaced .. It had a crack in the glass. They measured it up wrong .. They ordered wrong window.. Then call me to install it.. I brought the window in.. they installed wrong window.. knowing it was wrong .. They took my money.. as I noticed the window was too small .. they quickly told me there is no refund and the window is the wrong size.. .. (They even said they knew they installed wrong window) so I raised hell of course and they said they would order another window.. it would take 2 weeks.. this was 9/15/22.. 42 days later they call and say the window is in.. Once again I bring window in. They call the next day.. say the window is ready.. I go and pick it up.. and the window they put in is too small again.. The pane of glass rattles.. I ask them about it.. The guy says with a smile.. "We want you to honor what you said about not coming back" .. I ask about a refund.. he smiled and said.. we want you to honor what you said about not coming back again... I reminded him.. they measured window wrong.. and ordered wrong window.. all he could say was.. I did not measure window wrong.. I mean someone there sure did.. I honestly need to take them to small claims court for all my time they wasted as well as the $102 they charged me for the wrong glass.. They want the glass back for a refund... knowing I cant go without a window in the winter.. old window only had an inch long crack.. it was still very useable.. They did not offer a professional service in any matter through all of this..

    Business Response

*** ****** asked for help.  We only provide window and screen repair as a side, as we can, service.  It is not a main offering of our business.  The window was measured by a very knowledgeable member of our team, an owner, who was passing through the store on a very busy day.  Until the complaint was filed, the person who measured the window had no knowledge of any issue and therefore, some of the confusion surrounding this window did occur.  We admit internal miscommunication on our part.

However, it is not uncommon for glass orders to take weeks in the current supply-chain.  We acknowledge that the glass was too thin. We believe this could have been a mistake on our suppliers end, but agreed to reorder.  We replaced the glass as soon as the correct glass arrived and contacted the customer.   *** ****** was irate throughout this process and publicly threatened to “bust heads” (a viable threat given his demeanor in the store) and was asked not to return for the safety of our staff.  He did not allow us to communicate or seek resolution.

As a business with over 120 years behind us and thousands of customers as well as windows, we acknowledge mistakes happen.  But threats and inappropriate behavior are not tolerated.  *** ****** has the completed and correct window in his possession and we wish him well.
