On 3/25/23, ***************, owner of Under Pressure Plumbing and Remodeling, came to check our tankless water heater & why it was leaking & flashing "Code 11." While *** was at my home, we called the company of the tankless WH, & the part that was damaged was covered by warranty. I asked *** how much would it cost to take out the bad part & put the new part in, *** responds to me, my ******* ************* "I'm not sure, I won't know until I am in there." He never gave me an hourly rate. At this point, I should have told him to leave, but as a woman in my 20s, a first-time home buyer, I didn't know what to do, I trusted him. The new parts came in on 3/29/23. He spent 9 hours between 2 days taking out the old part & putting the new one in, going off the manual I provided him. 3/29/23 he arrived at 7:04pm, working from 8:15-11pm, he sat in my driveway for ~30min ordering pizza! He did not ask if he could eat dinner at my table, but he did. 3/30/23 he came back to finish, 11:15 am to 5 pm, messing up at one point, having to go to Menards (20min one way) for an extender to a wire- IT DIDN'T COME WITH IT & DIDN'T NEED IT! HE MESSED UP! He charged us for 11 hours of labor. One of the hours was him eating at my table. When the labor was complete, he initially said his hourly rate was $125, but then he dropped it to $85 an hour. He still charged me for 11 hours of labor at $85/hr. How can a "professional" businessman ORDER PIZZA TO THE CUSTOMERS HOME-WHO HE DOES NOT EVEN KNOW- & EAT AT THEIR KITCHEN TABLE WHILE CHARGING THEM FOR "LABOR?!" He was rude as can be to not only me, my ****** ********** I have a text from *** being such a jerk! He took the old large copper part from the water heater, & tried sneaking it out of the house, when we asked what he is doing he says "scrapping it, I've been saving copper for 5 years." What the heck!? He did not ask us, he told us he was taking it. He left his pizza box, and took many phone calls, stopped working, while on my dime.
