    I ordered a magnetic oil plug for my GL1200 Goldwing from the ***** ***** website. It was listed as fitting a GL1200. It did not fit. I contacted the company and they were not willing to send me the correct plug or give me a credit. The value of the plug is 7.95 so it is not expensive but it is the principle.
    That is poor customer service.

    **** fails to mention he purchased the magnetic oil plug on Jan.
    9, 2022 but didn’t contact us about his issue until Oct. 28 of that year. He
    complained the thread was wrong and would not fit his GL1200 nor GL1500 and
    requested we replace with the correct one. We asked if he had thoroughly
    cleaned the threads of the block and he replied he had. Our records show sales to early and later model Gold Wings
    including a GL1200 that summer and no complaints. The magnetic plug measures 14mm
    with a 1.5mm thread pitch and replaces OEM 92800-14000 that fits all early Gold
    Wing models.
    When looking to verify his purchase, we noted the sale was made
    in Jan. 2022, nine months prior to his complaint. The Sales Policies he agreed
    to prior to placing his order state issues must be reported within 30 days. *********************************************************** On Nov. 1 we replied, “I am sorry, ***** but we cannot
    accept a return or report of defect that you've had in your possession since
    January of this year. If you believe the plug to be defective, then please file
    a claim with *********** the maker: ******************************************


    We did not hear back from him until Jan 26, 2023 when he
    reminded us of the issue and we reminded him of our response. He now demands a
    credit or ship the correct plug and writes “I had read a lot of negative
    comments out there about Saber Cycle but I decided to give you a chance. Well I
    guess that was a mistake.”


    Never once has he offered an explanation of why he waited so
    long to report his issue as have other customers. He speaks of this being a matter
    of principle in his BBB complaint given the value of the plug but what about
    the principle of complying with the Sales Policies he agreed to?  This could’ve been resolved with a few weeks
    but we don’t know what has happened to that plug while in his possession all
    these many months. And that is why we kicked it back to him to contact the
    maker that he apparently did not do or refrained from saying he did so.
