On April 8, 2025 I paid $4778.00 100 percent material and 50% percent labor. On April 21st he was suppose to start the work but he showed up on 04/24/2025 and worked one hour, and on 04/25/2025 he worked for 4hours, and on 04/26/2026 he called and told me his truck broke down. Now on 04/27/2025 he was considering asking additional money to fix his truck, on the 04/29/2025 he dropped off cement and post he did not do any work. Four days later I text him to see if he got his truck fix and he said yes, on 05/05 he worked six hours, and May 6, he worked eight and a half hours. May 7th he worked six and a half hours and then said he had an appointment at 4pm. He calls later and informs that ****** ordered the wrong wood. I asked him why he didn&#**;t tell me when he was here and he stated that he was embarrassed. He left his trailer in my driveway and he said that he had all of his tools that was worth a lot of money. I asked him when would the work be finished he thought I asking him how much more money did he needed and he said about $800.00. I told him I would not pay for the rest of the money until the work was finished. The next day 05/08/2025 11:45am. I asked him when he would be here and he told me that he was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. The wood he already had he put some of the wood in my backyard, and some in the neighbors front yard. He packed up all of his stuff and left. I would like for the business to pay me for the wood that I paid for or a refund for the wood.

This client was 3rd on our list of jobs to start this month, it was clearly stated that rain would be a factor in completing the project on time. For every one day of rain that sets every job back a day her being 3rd on the list she was set back the most. Her start date was set and was very obtainable had it not been for the rain.

Out of the 3 clients i was trying to make happy this one is the only one who refused to understand. My only mistake was asking this client for help. She took my request as a sign of maliciousness and being shady, i took matters into my own hands and called in a few favors and made everything just fine without her help after i had been notified by her that she thought i was up to something. She terminated our contract, she asked us to leave, and she ended our agreement.

More When I agreed to the contract, I was informed that the job would take approximately 2-3 days to complete. It has now been almost three weeks, and the work remains unfinished. While I understand that weather conditions can cause minor delays, the extent of this delay is far beyond what was initially communicated. There have been numerous instances where work did not proceed, even on days with favorable weather. The reasons provided often cited personal issues, which, while potentially understandable on occasion, became a consistent pattern that prevented the project from moving forward as agreed. Furthermore, I was surprised and concerned by several requests for additional payment beyond the contracted amount. This included a request for funds to repair his truck, which I was told was necessary to continue the work. Later, following an issue with incorrect wood being ordered which I was informed was due to a worker's error I was again asked for additional money, as if this was my responsibility. These requests, coupled with the repeated delays and explanations, have unfortunately led me to feel disrespected and taken advantage of an experience I have not encountered with previous contractors I have hired. Contrary to any potential claims, I never instructed him to leave my property. On Thursday, May 8th, my son did tell the individual accompanying him to leave the property after she directed derogatory language towards him. He was never told to leave by anyone. Following this interaction, he chose to cease work, and which informed me he was canceling the contract. Upon him departure on May 8th, wood materials intended for the project were left by being thrown into my neighbor's yard and my backyard. I have since assessed the remaining materials and there is insufficient wood to complete the fence as per the contract. Additionally, materials that I paid for upfront were not left on my property. This situation is unacceptable. The project is incomplete, the timeline has been vastly exceeded due to reasons I do not believe are justified, and materials I paid for are either missing or insufficient....
