      I opened the checking account online to get the $500 dollar bonus that they advertised in the newspaper. Needless to say, I did not receive it. The advertisement said nothing about having to open the checking account in a branch location. Also, I asked someone when I first opened the account if I had opened the right kind. They said that I did. I also called again the other day to ask if I had opened the right kind of account. He also said I did. Now I called again today to ask about getting the bonus because I still did not receive it. The lady told me I was not qualified for it because I did not open the right account. How can I ask two different people but now get a different story when it is time to payout? I spend three months trying to get this bonus and checked multiple times. This is ridiculous, beware of their practices

      The account she opened does not have a bonus.  We have multiple accounts like other banks.  The account she was referring to was a bonus was never an option through our online opening platform.  It was a bonus account we ran as a promotion to households around our branch to open an account.  It was only through our branch network and it does not pay a bonus.  The account the consumer was referring to could only be opened at a branch.

      I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because you will still not take accountability for your employees mistake for giving me the wrong information when I asked for it. I would have gladly opened the right account if that is what they told me when I asked to begin with. I asked when I opened the account if it was the right one to get the bonus and your employee told me it was. So I proceeded with the bonus qualifications because of the information I was given by your business. Again, you are blaming your customer for your mistake.
