    On November 8, 2021 we hired *********************** owner of Artisans Outdoors to remove and haul away existing landscaping and mulch from our front yard, and to install a paver patio.He quoted us 2 weeks to complete the job, and stated that the required removal was planned to be completed before the end of November 2021. When that didn't happen due to communications issues between him and a his sub-contractor it was pushed to December; again when that didn't happen it was pushed, but due to the very wet season we had they couldn't do the work - with the primary reason being they didn't want to cause damage to our front lawn. When things dried up he then pushed us off because he was on another job that was to finish by the end of June. He communicated dates a number of time, but no one ever showed up. Since July 25, 2022 he has stopped all communications with us and has not replied to any of our emails, texts or phone calls.We paid the deposit of $1,500.00 - and are wanting our full deposit returned as NO work has been completed.

    We have mailed a refund back to the customer.  We were not able to complete the job due to the weather and other business situations.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    The business sent us an email on 8/10/22 stating they would  be putting it in the mail on Monday when they returned home.  As of today we have still not received our deposit of $1,500.00.  We will not consider this matter resolved until the funds have been returned us.

     

    I reached out again to the business on Friday 8/19/22, which should have been ample time for the check to be delivered:  "Thank you for your response.  Would you be so kind to confirm back to us that you have mailed out our deposit refund check?  I only ask, as of today we haven't yet received it, and want to be sure to address immediately any potential challenges with it's arrival." - and as of today, we have not received any response back confirming when the check was mailed out to us.
