******** GPS made me go down a dirt road and got stuck in the mud. Tune’s was called from my insurance to get me out. They caused $2,500 damage to my car and refused to pay for it. I am running it through my own insurance because I need my car ASAP. I have to pay my deductible and possible rate hike. It happened Friday February 17, 2023. It’s at ****** ********* ** *********** ********

We was dispatched to do a winch out that was supposed to be within 10 feet from a paved surface. Upon arrival we discovered the vehicle was over 100 yards from a paved surface, in a ditch, like a four wheeler track. And the vehicle was buried in the mud to the axels. So any damage at this point would have been caused from the incident not from us pulling him out. He had pretty much wrecked his car. We told him we could pull him out but anything further would not be on us. Any damages done was a result of him driving the car where he did and getting it stuck which is why we advised him to turn any damages in to his insurance as he is the one who drove the car on a four wheeling trail and buried it in the mud and had his tires stuck between two ruts. In a situation like this all we can do is winch them out but as for damages customer would be responsible for them as we did not damage the vehicle we winched it out of a mud hole.  Once they get so far off the road these winch outs turn into recoverys. As it was not just a simple winch.

I am rejecting this response because:I was moving slowly and got stuck in the mud. My breaks we’re working until the pulled my car ripped out shocks, struts and breaks line. It was their worker and did the damage. Doesn’t matter where my car was positioned they did it and they are responsible

    Sincerely,

We had a tire blow out on our truck and we put the spare on and we wanted the factory tire to match the rest of the tires on the truck. So, the kid my husband talked to say that it would cost $10.00. So, we wanted the rim replaced but the rim was too small for the spare tire. They took the tire off, just to put the tire back on and charged us $25.00. They should have known that it would not fit since they are the mechanic. That is there job. I would like a refund of the $25.00. They should have check that before switching the tire over. They were very disrespectful I think because I am a woman.   The mechanic stated that they had to rebalance  the tire, because they took it off.  If they would have checked in the first place they would not have had to rebalance the tire.

The name on the complaint states ******* *******, however from reading the complaint I believe it is a ***** ******* because we did have him come in for this request. He came into our shop stating he had a tire blow out days before and he wanted us to take off the spare tire and rim he had on the truck and to mount the spare tire on the wheel original to the truck. Upon dismounting the spare tire and attempting to put it on the original wheel the mechanic noticed that the diameter of the tire was 1 inch to wide for the original wheel. We then remounted the spare tire to the spare wheel and rebalanced it because it had been fully broken down. He was very persistent when he came in and he wanted it done RIGHT NOW type of thing and so we pulled it in and went to dismantling the tire off the wheel. At this point we had not seen the original wheel, it was in the bed of the truck, we dismantled first. All of this being customer request. So yes he was charged for a mount and balance. We had held up my mechanics time and a bay doing this and he was completely ok with paying. It was later when some girl  came in yelling & cursing  demanding a refund and honestly she wouldn’t calm down long enough for anyone to really make any sense out of her and so she was asked nicely to leave. My mechanic had told him during this that he probably would not be charged full price beings he had the wrong size and Mr.***** told my mechanic “No man I gotta give ya something cuz it’s your guys time” and so that is what actually happened. I am the office manager on top of the tow dispatcher. I hire all my guys and I can assure you none of them are mysogynistic. My guys have been here long term, at least a year or longer, and I would not tolerate that here. If there is anything else you need please let us know by email or phone is fine. We are here Monday through Friday 8-5 and usually closed 12-1 for lunch ************ Thanks
