I paid him $1500 to build a deck on to my home, he told me he had to go get a permit from ******************* and they advised me that he never even applied for one. Now I have some of my old deck that he tore down and never came back.

Mr ****** is completely false in his statement,  He gave a deposit of $1250 to begin the work on his deck and room addition which was originally $30,000 and I helped him scale back everything to fit his budget of $6000.00  I started the project by grading and digging and forming out the patio and the area underneath the room addition that was going to be removed to put up new room addition.  In the two months leading up to the signing of the contract with a $1250 deposit not $1500 I was constantly driving to his house repeatedly when he made an appointment to meet him only to find out he wasn't there nor was he going to be there for awhile because something was always coming up.   After he finally signed the contract after stringing me a long for 3 days saying his father was giving him the check, his father was in a car accident, etc. I started the project.  Now I actually came out of my own pocket because the clerk at the city of st *** said my concrete drawings weren't' detailed enough  for approval, therefore they were never submitted.  Once I had new drawings architectural drawings ($900 out of my own pocket)  I called Mr ****** for days with no response needing his approval before I submitted them to the city of **********  During that time it rained for 3 days straight and it was impossible to pour rock and pour concrete.  This being pointless because I could never get Mr ****** to answer phone calls emails or texts to approve the drawings.  It was at this time that I had other jobs starting and I continued to try to get a hold of Mr ************* I decided to void the contract because ******************* said contract by not reasonably communicating and holding up the job by not communicating.  This is why Mr ****** will not get a refund because I spent $900 of my own money before he gave me the deposit plus I have 3 full days of completed work over there.  If anything Mr. ****** still owes me some money, but I am willing to right it off as a loss.  Mr ****** is clearly being deceptive by saying he gave me $1500.  The contract clearly says $1250.

I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because: I disagree with what was wrote because what he said to he paid 900 dollars and I have the text where he said he paid 800 dollars which he has no receipt and he did no work so he got his money back plus I entered the pics also to show what he done and tore up and left .. which he said he paid for concrete which was never delivered so theres no receipt .. also theres text that he didn't show up when he said he was .. when he said he tried contacting . Me .. I have all the textes and documents .. I also said 1500 for damage to my property .. also this is a form of theft which I was told I could report so yes I am trying to resolve it in a nice matter to pay me what h e owes and didn't complete and tore up out of respect..

    Sincerely,

    ***** ******

I have not received mail in a week due to the winter storm.  Mr. ****** is delusional and is trying to con me and I am not going to pay for his room addition out of my pocket.  Mr ****** has threatened me with physical harm and I am done dealing with him.
