    City Gear at *********************************************************************************** is scheduled to open at 11am on Sundays. I arrived to the store at 1130am on March 23, 2025. I had lip read the employees mouth through the door as he attempted to explain that the store was not open. I could not figure out what he was saying, so I left.15 minutes later I called the store, a lady answered and I asked if the store was open yet. The lady instantly hung up the phone without responding. I returned to the store about 5 minutes later and asked the lady at the cashier if she was the manager. The lady confirmed she was indeed the manager. I explained how the store was still closed during normal business hours, and asked why she hung up the phone when I inquired if the store was open. The woman responded "If I answered the phone then we're open". I explained how disgustingly inappropriate this was, especially considering the fact that the store was not open during regularly scheduled hours to begin with. I know that times are hard and it's difficult to fill positions. However, extensive education and in-services are vital to ensuring the success of a business and it's employees. This woman is not ready to lead or manage an entire store. Corporate leadership should ensure that managers are ready to work in difficult or high stress environments without resorting to ignorance or childish tactics. Please use this experience as an example to your employees of the importance of providing customer service, and the benefit of adhering to the posted signage reflecting business hours.
