Through December and January of *********, I had a serious engine issue that needed immediate attention and I took my car to the Meineke on ************* Between the repairs and new tires, I spent nearly $1,000 over Christmas. Not even two months later, the same lights kicked on again. I stopped by ******** to have my engine light checked for free and was advised that one of the cylinders was misfiring. Due to the history of the repairs, ******** stated that this should have been caught by Meineke. I called Meineke to see what could be done and spoke with *** who was unnecessarily rude and downright condescending. He wasted no time to talk down to me as if I were a child, making me feel stupid and embarrassed for not already knowing that "coils are like lightbulbs that can go out for no reason." I explained what ******** advised me of which he took very offensively. "Because AutoZone is the best right?" It was clear that he was agitated with me, and continued to say things like "Why would I tell you to fix a lightbulb that isn't broken? Does that make sense to you?"The next morning, March 14, 2025, I arrived early to the shop and waited for them to open. I took the AutoZone paperwork with me to show ***, but when I explained the issue again, his tone and demeanor completely changed as he made a snide comments like "Oh, so you are the coil lady. You know, the one I should have replaced months ago. Is that the conversation we had?" He was very harsh and if looks could kill, I'd be rotting in the ground. After 7 hours, I was charged just under $500 to replace one $80 ignition coil. To be *****, this experience was not worth the rate of $150/hr.
