Date of sale: August 18, 2023
    Amount of purchase: $74,995
The business agreed to provide this 1970 Plymouth Barracuda that had no cosmetic, mechanical and electrical defects. The car was advertised with 4 Wheel Disc Brakes and only the front has disc brakes, the rear has drum brakes. (Original advertisement document attached)
I spoke with *********** and ******* to discuss the issues. They asked me to get an estimate for all the repairs and then they would discuss the options. After getting the estimate which totaled $7,747.00, I called both *********** and ******* back to go over the estimate. Their response was that they would not cover any of the cost and I could return the car at my expense for a full refund. (Estimate attached)
At this point, after the estimate was completed, we already had over $3,500 invested in shipping to us and the cost of inspection and titling. We had to repair rear brakes to pass Delaware inspection which I was able to fix myself - Cost $20 plus labor.
Our complaint is that the business was not honest and forthcoming with the issues the car had prior to purchase. I feel that Fast Lane should financially assist us with the obvious items that should have been fixed or at least made us aware prior to purchase.

    To Whom It May Concern:

We have received the BBB Complaint ********. We have addressed all mentioned items with
the buyer previously. Fast Lane acknowledged the braking system on the car before the buyer
completed payment. They were given the option to walk away given the updated information
regarding the brakes, but decided to purchase regardless.

The buyer purchased a 1970 Dodge Challenger which is in wonderful running and driving
condition. This 53 year old used vehicle was purchased as-is. This said, the buyer was given
dozens of photos, multiple videos, and far beyond the industry standard of disclosure before
purchasing. They were given the option to inspect the car for themselves, or hire a pre
    purchase inspector, which they declined.

Fast Lane has offered to purchase this vehicle back from the buyer. This offer was declined by
    the buyer.

Fast Lane Classic Cars sees this as a closed matter.

    Sincerely,

On December 16th 2022, I purchased a **** Bronco II from Fastlane. This was purchased at maximum market value for $14000. This vehicle was purchased under the guise that it was in near perfect condition. However, that is anything but the case. Shortly after delivery, the vehicle needed electrical repairs. Everything that holds fluid leaks. The suspension was dangerously worn. It was then discovered that the last 1/3 of the frame is completely rotted out. The front portion of the frame that had a softball sized hole in it but was repaired. The seatbelts do not work as intended, the driver side floor pan is rotted out. The driver side seat isnt properly mounted and moves significantly. The brakes do not function properly. In the last 4 months of ownership, Ive been able to put less than 120 miles on this vehicle. I expressed on several occasions that I would like it to be a cool classic vehicle for my childs first one. This vehicle is in no way able to be operated on public roads. When I was told they would reinspect the car and come up with a game plan, they called me back 3 weeks later to say they replaced some gaskets. When asked about everything else, I was told theyre not going to restore the vehicle. Now Im stuck with a car we cant safely drive. I would have to invest thousands of dollars to even get it operational. This car should never have been sold in the condition that its in. No one should have passed this thing during any kind of inspection. Fastlane needs to do the right thing and just refund my $14k. Ive already invested $1000 and so many hours. This car will never be worth what needs to go into it to just get it right. Im not even asking for what I already have in it. But, I promise they wouldnt put their kid in this thing. I dont know why they almost let me.
