    This company is FRAUD. They sent a fake letter to my mother who is 88 years old claiming a payment was past due. The letter had a number they wanted her to call. When she called, they badgered her into giving them her checking account number and are now collecting payments from her account. This is really disgusting. How can these people live with themselves.

    We take these concerns very seriously. Our marketing team does not send letters stating a payment is past due unless there is an actual balance on an ********** this case, our records show that the customers mother contacted us directly to request coverage for her home and voluntarily provided her payment information to purchase a policy. We do not engage in deceptive practices or force anyone into making payments.We serve customers of all ages and declining coverage solely because of someones age would constitute age discrimination, which we do not practice.If theres any confusion about the policy or payments, wed be happy to review the account and help resolve any issues.     Absolute scammers! They sent a mailing to my 89 year old father that said "Final Notice" even though he has NEVER done business with them. The entire letter was worded to cause panic that his home "warranty" was expiring, they listed a fake Expiration Date, and said he needed to contact them within a week. "Private & Confidential" listed but the name of the company was not even on the letter, no address at all of the company. I had to use the phone number to track down the name and address. I called them using a different phone number listed on their website to make sure a scammer was not using this company's info. They looked it up and had my father's address. The person who I spoke to got very flippant with me when I pointed out their wording and lack of company name and address on the letter. Leave the name and address off in hopes the receiver of the letter will think it is from their actual home insurance company and call the number on the letter thinking it is their insurance. Then they would have set my dad up with new insurance under the guise that he was renewing his current insurance.

    Exploration and intimidation of my elderly mother. Called to cancel service after she received notice her home warranty was about to expire. Would not allow cancellation requested over 20 times during our conversation told no one available in cancellation department. Offered discounts asked her personal questions as how she would afford something on her home if it broke then offered her reduced rates etc ignoring the 20 requests to cancel at the end of the call was told we must submit written request for cancellation. Literally had to call the bank and have payments cancelled as we had no other option. Completely taking advantage of the most vulnerable. Sad

    Had a great experience with Home Defense USA. They set me up with a great repair company for my hot water heater. They ended up replacing the whole unit and **** was super helpful. They are always nice when I call.
