On Tuesday, November 2, 2022 at 2:28 pm, my husband and I pulled into the Break Time/ Cenex Gas Station at 402 North Woodbine to get gas. The advertised price on the outside lighted sign was $3.25 per gallon. When we later checked the receipt, we found we were charged $3.39 per gallon. I tried multiple times to call the listed phone number but there was never an answer. This amounts to false advertising and theft.

She came in the store and told us about it. My employee called me and I told him to give her whatever money that was owed to her and check the pumps and change them if they weren't right. I changed the pump prices that day and I guess the unleaded didn't change. We gave her the difference of what it would have been. We refunded her $2 and some change. We took care of this problem. I have the receipt to prove it was taken care of.

We apologize that this happened. It was an accident.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: This is not true!  We did not notice the error until we got home.  I did not enter the business nor did I receive any refund.  The business' response is a lie.

Evidently this happened to two people and I didn't realize. We did refund one lady. The thing you put the gas prices on, it keeps messing up on us so we got someone to come out and fix it correctly.

I want to make this right with this customer. If she brings in her receipt, we will refund her the difference.

It was an honest mistake and I truly apologize for any inconvenience.
