    Contracted Epic to do demo on our home while we were out of town, we did a walk through with them before we left, and put signs up on items we wanted kept/treated carefully. One item was antique 112 year old coffered ceiling that disappeared, despite our asking that it be preserved, another was a 112 year old vintage office cabinet face that was beaten severely and we are not certain can be brought back to the way it looked prior to them damaging it. To replace both of these items the bids have ranged from 8 to 10 thousand. We would like Epic to reimburse us for 5 k in damages so that we can repair/replace the two most important items that were damaged. There were numerous other damages as well...a $130.00 rake that was destroyed due to being used for demo, two $50.00 flower pots that were also brand new. Nails were pounded in rather than removed, and we had to pay several thousand for them and floors to be removed, which should have been part of demo, but wasn't. We asked that hardwood floors be taken up nicely so that we could use them to put house back together. Epic refused, and left them, costing us additional $3500.00 for their demo. Epic did attempt to return a small portion of what we paid via check stating that our cashier g the check was an agreement that everything was completed to our satisfaction. We have not and will not be cashing that check, but will agree to sign and cash a check in the amount of $5000.00 as that is what we believe to be closer to a fair amount for damages. Thankyou
