    I needed to have an amended return completed for my 2023 return. It was a simple amendment as I had identified the one field that had not been populated using the tax software. The software did not include the dollar amount of the taxes paid when efiling the initial return. I chose this firm due to the great ****** reviews. My files were extremely organized and clearly identified the information requiring the amended return. I delivered the requested material to the office on or about Dec. 6, 2024. The next communication from the office was a voice msg left on Dec. 30th asking to print and bring in the tax information for my return from the *** site. I was out of town and brought the documents upon my return on Jan. 3rd or 4th. Heard nothing so I called Jan 30th 10 am and left *** requested call back re status. Nothing. I waited 4 business days and left another message. No response so I went to the office. I was told my file was on her desk and I would be contacted in 2-3 days. Nothing, so on day 4 I called and told them I was coming to pick up my documents which I did. No apology or explanation. I am now in a bad situation due to the 2 month delay with no status. Looking at the files nothing has been done in two months. I need the firm to complete my amended return in a timely manner so I do not have an issue filing my 2024 returns. I was quoted a price of $350 which I agreed to with no problem. I would rather not deal with them anymore but tax time is here and I need them to complete our agreement. There is not time to get another accountant.

    We did not file Ms. ******* original tax return.  She indicated that the person who prepared it made an error.  She attempted to correct that error by filing a corrected return.  This was also done wrong. After the second erroneous return was filed, she reached out to us TO help her correct her returns.  This not a "simple" fix and it is not as easy as filling in one number.  We were working consistantly on getting this corrected for her.  She called in frustration on 02/07/2025 and indicated that she could not wait any longer for us to complete the work.  We removed all of our proprietary documents from her file and returned all of the documents, that she originally provided to us, back to her per her request.  She picked them up that afternoon.  We cannot complete the work that she is requesting because she took all of her paperwork back.

    I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:

    What they state is not accurate. No work was done in over 2 months on my return. I was extremely patient. After two months and continued attempts to obtain a status I never received any phone calls. I had to drive to the office just to be told I would hear back in 2-3 days. I heard nothing so after three days I called again to be told again I would hear back in 2-3 days. After almost 2.5 months of no progress I did indeed realize nothing was being done and retrieved my files. Not everything was returned. I kept copies of everything I provided. The cover page with dates and detailed explanation of the situation including a bulleted list of the items provided was not returned. There were no notes within the files showing one bit of work after almost 2.5 months.

    I was able to find a friend referral to a ***. It took the *** 10 minutes to review the same documents I delivered to Leslie to advise me that everything is correct. No amended return was needed. Leslie was not only unprofessional by her conduct in no contact and unresponsive to my inquiries but would have caused a problem which was nonexistent.

    We returned all of your documents.  We kept all of our documents, work and notes.  I personally had been working on your file, so I can assure you that progress was being made on getting it completed.  I realize that I did not complete it as quickly as you wanted.  I cannot meet you request for resolution because I do not have any of your original documents because you picked them up.  I apologize that we did not anc cannot meet your request.
