My car was recently hit and not able to be driven. The person who hit me had insurance, and their provider got me a rental to get back and forth to work. My classmate took me to enterprise and was with me when I got in the vehicle. We asked the woman putting me in the car to take pictures of the back side of the vehicle, because there was a dent in the body. She took photos and I had the car for maybe 3 weeks. When I returned the vehicle, I received a voicemail stating the the dent that was already there had gotten bigger. I went up to talk to the woman about it but she was already gone for the day. I asked to see photos and the person working showed me one, which was the one that was taken before I got the vehicle. Their damage recovery unit has sent me a bill for $1176.81. I still have the voicemail stating that there was already a dent in the vehicle when I was put in it. There was no further damage to the vehicle, no scratches or marks to indicate any further damage. I was never in an accident. I only drove to work and parked in a safe, unused lot, and to home where I have a designated parking spot on my street. I did not cause the damage, and the voicemail from the woman at enterprise clearly states that it was already there when I got the vehicle. I feel like theyre trying to get me to pay for damages that were already there when I rented the car. My friend who took me to pick up the rental can testify that the damage was already there, as well as the voicemail from the woman at enterprise. I am having trouble attaching the audio file through this webpage but will be more than happy to email it if someone could get in touch with me. I really appreciate your time, thank you.

We have confirmed our reservation with Expedia & enterprise from 12/20/22-12/23/22. Received a phone call from *****'s ***** agent informing us one day before that our reservation was confirmed, however, we need to go tp airport location or ************* since we are Local customers. When we arrived at the airport, **** (agent) was furious and stated the female agent that called us lied about it, and not the first time she transfer the customer to the airport location. He declined to help us unless we pay more or booked through him. He called the Manager at the Ballys to confirm the car QX80/SUV similar size available if we go there. Drove from the airport and arrived at ************(with 3 small kids ), but no one was at the desk 45 minutes. **************** answered the phone and was told to go to the ***** ***** desk. I arrived in *****, they do not have the car we reserved. We were downgraded and the manager *****/****** declined to handle these issues or answer the call after an agent hung up the phone with them. We left in a smaller car(not what we paid for ), dirty, with a half tank of fuel, with no apologies, and wasted more than two hours. We needed a rental car to go to **** for my son ********'s diagnosis. It's the most stressful I've ever been. No compensation and no one takes responsibility. Expedia blamed enterprise as they confirmed the reservation and, I was told someone from corporate he spoke to (**************) from Expedia that ***** from Enterprise will be calling us. NO calls, no compensation. We dropped off the car at enterprise on ************ and *******. The car was dropped off in ************ and *******. This is the only office that showed remorse and genuinely felt bad for us and allowed us to drop the car at this location vs. going back to ballys as we refused to deal with them there. I want to know why Expedia booked something enterprise can't honor. It is unethical as not the first customer experiencing this similar issue.

I dropped off my car for service at **** in ****** and received a rental car from Enterprise Rent a Car. **** in ****** needed to keep the car more than the expected two days so **** agreed to cover all charges for the additional 3 days. I talked with **** in Tacoma and Enterprise Rental Car (*************************) multiple times, both assured me that I would receive a refund for the three additional days. I checked my bank statement and never received a refund. I was charged the five days for $178.80 on November 18th, thus over $106 is still owed to me. I followed up with an email to Enterprise Rent a Car (*************************) in December, and Enterprise Rent a Car (*************************) never responded. I forwarded the email to *********************, the **** Service Advisor at ***********, and she responded that she resent the request for the refund to *************************/Enterprise Rent a Car again. I appreciate *****'s efforts in trying to refund me. I have never received a response via email or refund from Enterprise Rent a Car. When I talked multiple times to Enterprise/************************* on the phone, I received false promises that I will receive a refund. This is fraudulent activity as Enterprise has now charged myself and **** in ****** for the same services. This is awful customer service and business practices of Enterprise Rent a Car/*************************. I provided feedback to **** in Tacoma of the customer service received from the ********************** and that both of us have paid for the service. Again, I appreciate *****'s efforts.I attached the correspondence and the business cards for ************************* at Enterprise Rent a Car and ********************* at **** in *******

Thank you for the opportunity to respond.  2/5 and  2/6, Management left a voicemail on the phone number provided. The also sent an email asking her to give them a call at her earliest convenience.

The rental was 3 days long, and the daily rate was billed out to the ****** Dealership. She did sign on the ** and SLP protection products for the 3 days which added up to the total charges she is mentioning of $178.80. The initial deposit was $129.80 which is one day of coverage and the deposit.

If the customer would like to discuss the matter further, we encourage them to reach back to the member of management.

I am rejecting this response because:

I received a voicemail that they were reversing the charge for $178.  I checked my statement, and I received the refund.

Thus, I believe the matter was closed.  However, I just checked my statement today and they charged me again for $178.  This complaint is still open and an issue as they have reversed the refund.

      This claim is still open.

There was a recharge that took place in error.  The refund has been authorized again and steps were taken to ensure this would not happen again. The Area Manager reached to the customer by email as well to explain the situation.

I rented a car on 11/23/22 and unexpectedly returned the car on 12/27/22 because of unexpected charges so i requested refund in person and was told the refund should come back in 2-3 days but instead it did not come back. When i called the company to let them know the problem they stated that they sent the refund to a different card, a card ive never paid with. Then they said it would take a week for the refund to arrive on the correct card, i called a week later theyve now changed it and saying to check in a couple of weeks. This is going on 3 weeks with no return ive been charged for a rental car i no longer have.

On Thursday 17 November 2022, I rented a car at the Enterprise Rental Car Location at Los Angeles International Airport. Needless to say, this was the worst experience I have ever had, and because of the negligence of the rental car employees/management, etc., it put my life in danger. The employees knowingly (and I have pictures to prove it), rented a car to me that had bald tires on the back (both passenger and driver), with wires showing. Which caused one of them to have a flat tire while I was traveling on the road, which almost caused me to go into an accident due to the rapid decline in tire pressure. When getting this fixed, it took over 4 hours of my day just to get it back to the LAX location, and then the way I was treated, it was an act of Congress to get me another rental car. I feel that I was not treated fairly, let along knowingly sending a rental car out in this condition.

I also feel that I need to be compensated properly for knowingly putting this car into my hands in this condition, I do not feel the local management did enough for this issue. If I would have been injured, let alone killed for how this car was sent out, we would be talking a whole other ball game.

I took my car to the BMW dealership for scheduled maintenance (1 day). At this time I discovered that the radio and the back hatch had some issues. My car is 2 years old and still under warranty. The BMW dealership provided me with a free loaner vehicle from Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The dealership had my BMW for almost 3 weeks, trying to fix my car's issues.

When I first picked up the loaner, I declined the insurance on the loaner, since my ***** **** policy covers rentals. When I finally turned in my loaner, and picked up my repaired vehicle, the Enterprise rental agreement invoice listed $499.80 charged to me, for $24.99/day, for insurance on the rental.

I recently rented a car from Enterprise (Rental Agreement # *********) which was a one-way rental from *** airport to *** (***** ****** ******* ** ****** *******). This car was rented in December, in the mountains, during the winter. I was offered the Dodge *******. I enquired if there were any larger cars available, or small SUVs, or anything with 4WD at the counter. I was told no. The car looked clean inside and out when inspected, and I went on my way.

I noticed immediately that the car was not fit for driving in Colorado during the winter. It was literally spinning out in the airport parking lot which was snow covered from snow storm days earlier. The traction was terrible. This was RWD and did not have winter tires. On the highway in the sun it was fine, on any little bit of snow it was awful.

On the drive down the mountain I noticed a few extremely critical issues.

      1) The windshield washer sprayer was not working. There was no error that it was empty on the dash. It was cold so perhaps it was frozen. But I did not even hear the pump trying. This is extremely dangerous as the windshield was perpetually dirty from snow and dirt spray, and I had to stop multiple times to manually clean the winshshield during mny drive. My guess is this California based car had non winter fluid in there and it was frozen.

      2) The driver door window did not open or close. Every other window worked. This window did not. It was not a cold issue as it did not work while parked in a heated garage either. The car should work.

      3) While driving the car there were CO state alerts that said cars were required to follow Winter Traction Control policies which meant 4WD, Snow Chains, or Winter Tires, of which this car had none. I was rented a car that was not legally allowed to be on the Colorado roads that day.

      4) There was now snow scraper in the car. When water iced up on the windshield at a gas station stop, I had to borrow someone else to scrape the ice.

      I am extremely disappointed

Thank you for the opportunity to respond. The customer confirmed that he rented the vehicle on December 12th at 10am and returned on December 21st in the afternoon. The customer wanted to be charged 9 and a half days, which management advised him we do not do especially since he is getting his AllState discount at $26.68/day plus tax. They advised him that AllStates agreement is billed on calendar day billing which means each day regardless of pickup or return time counts as a day, so the charges for the 10 days was correct.

He also was disputing that he damaged the vehicle. He confirmed that when he rented the vehicle there was not a crack in the bumper. He is alleging that the damage occurred after he returned the vehicle to the body shop. Management walked him through that when we went to pickup the car at the body shop our representative noted the damage while walking around the vehicle and advised the shop of the damage as well before moving the car, so this occurred either during his rental or before we moved the vehicle. I sent him both his invoice as well as the pictures of the damage and the detailed estimate for the repair. Because the vehicle was damaged, we kept his security deposit and applied that to his deductible. He stated that we would not get any more money from him unless we came to his doorstep. They let him know that we would work through his insurance company to handle which he asked for us to do.

Management included contact information and told him that if he had an additional questions to please reach out to them, but at this point he would be responsible for the damages to the vehicle and his charges are correct.

Management has spoken to the customer multiple times by email.  They have explained to the customer why certain procedures were taken and how they know that it was not damaged in out possession. They also clarified the pricing of the rental with the customer. Because of the tone of recent communications with the customer, we consider this matter closed and will not be communicating with the customer further regarding the issue.
